[Video] in his cocoon stage
[A rather tired looking face rose up into a video feed, surrounded by a soft yellow mass. It looked as if his head had been shoved into a Coney Island cutout--but, the cutout was absent of anything but plush yellow fabric. He shifted slightly, sniffing with what clearly looked to be disinterest.]
It sounds like you've all had a good run, so far. Despite that, I hope no one thinks they're beyond a little tutoring and critique.
[He seemed to retreat a bit into the yellow fabric.]
My name is Aizawa Shouta and I'm a Professional Hero. If you need advice or even a good place to hone your skills while you're not currently on a mission--I'm in my biome and I've had it fitted for the sake of physical and strategic training.
[The entire time, he struggled desperately to emote and yet--nothing happened.]
Alright, that seems good enough to get the point across. Talk to me.
[--Without a hint of dramatic flair, Aizawa's feed cut.]

[Audio]
[There's got to be more to it than that. Yeah, the Legion gets paid, but Jason... honestly just shovels his 'allowance' elsewhere, to various charities. Even if it wasn't against the rules Zordon gave him, he'd find it a little distasteful.
Then again, he's a teenager. He's never had to worry about his own money before.]
[Audio]
Technically, I'm a lot like a public servant.
[He wasn't unfamiliar with scrutiny. Villains had taken arguments to him, before--that he was a government dog.
Aizawa saw it as keeping himself accountable if he made mistakes.]
[Audio]
Sorry. Kind of jumped to a conclusion there, I guess.
[So his deal is closer to what the Legion does? Huh. Must be more common in superhero worlds than Jason thought.]
So... What do you do, then?
[The best subject change. Conversational master, thy name is Jason.]
[Audio]
[Aizawa smiled a bit on his end--though, it was unseen.]
I'm an instructor for young heroes in training at the moment, though I do still patrol and go on missions.

Whoops, he should be using video, here...
[Audio: Jason's pretty much a pure audio guy.]

[ As usual, Grif's priorities are top notch. He's in his quarters. An incredibly messy room and at least seven empty soda and beer bottles of various ages are just visible around him.]
He grinned rudely.]
Course, I just made it for myself. [By effectively dismantling his bed.]

But it sounds a lot like work, so I'm gonna let you keep that one.

[The word 'might' was one of those words that showed a clearly defined lack of decision.
Aizawa enjoyed pressing on it.]
What if I decided for you?

[This was way more important to comment on than, you know, the whole training thing.]
no subject
[He didn't seem offended at all by that. Shouldn't anyone have been upset with that sort of comment.]
While there is a certain strategy to my overall appearance, I'll ask you this: Is it more important to look like a hero or to act like one?
no subject
I guess it don't matter what you look like as long as you got the power to back it up. But do girls dig the whole "just woke up and rolled outta bed" look?
[Serious questions.]

[Aizawa lifted a brow. Everyone knew that old book, after all. 'Might is Right' was something that had gotten disproven in the end.
Even so, it said a lot that the greatest hero of his time was someone named 'All Might'. That somehow pulled a smile on his face--which wasn't a good thing.
Aizawa looked like a creep.]
I don't get many dates with my look, no--and, I can't even say I've got the power to back it up, either!

[He knows it's not like sports but "professional hero" sounds ridiculous to him. Then again, a lot of this hero stuff sounds weird to him, since superheroes only exist in movies and comic books in his world.]
video
[He gave Nick a shrug, his smile concealed by the metallic, woven scarf he wore around the lower part of his face and shoulders.]
Would you call a professional in to deal with a purse-snatching, after all?
Re: video
Does that mean superheroes are trained like law enforcement in your world?

The Legionnaires train us but a lot of us could use extra training and practice.
I have a lot of trouble controlling my powers.
video
That totally doesn't rile up Aizawa in a few major ways or anything!]
Alright.
[He was patient and composed. No messing around--]
What's your name?
Re: video
I have telekinesis but we've figured it out isn't just keyed into my concentration -- my emotions affect it way more than emotions affect powers for most people.
If I get scared or surprised or angry, it goes all weird and out of control.

[Tadashi grimaces a little as he speaks, rubbing the back of his neck.]
I'm already working with the psychiatrist here, but I'm always looking to improve.
video
[He admitted, straight away--] The exercises I know of help children but I'm sure it's possible they could be beneficial to a grown adult if they're willing to adapt as much as a child might.
Where I come from, it's very common for someone to have 'quirks' or powers. Your probably probably won't be too far outside of my boundaries but even if it is... I'm willing to help.
video
I'm not an expert in child psychology, but I've dabbled in it enough to know that children are generally a lot more adaptable than adults. But I might not be old enough that my brain's lost all of its plasticity, so hey, patience and crossed fingers might be enough to see some improvement.
[He resettles his baseball cap and grins in relief.]
Thanks, I really appreciate your willingness to help. I'd like to be able to not worry about lighting things on fire by accident, you know?
