[After Brainy and Babbage disappear, cameras start broadcasting from where they were taken to. The entire encounter is shown to the team and the rest of the UP. When Earth is taken through the portal, Legion World lurches, and at the end of it all, when the traps are tripped, it lurches again. Lights all over the ship go out, fires starts, systems fail. Only lockdown procedures that Brainy himself put in place, to protect Legion World’s most vital systems if he were ever compromised by telepathy or other influences, keep the viruses from self-destructing the ship or turning off life support -- but they’re certainly trying to.]

[The network goes back up again fairly quickly, however, but it’s using a much older, inferior form of networking. Something a little more distance-based and analog, a little less hackable.]

[They’ll be able to communicate again, but there’s a lot of interference. Sometimes the video goes out during video calls and sometimes audio cracks up. Text seems to be the only form of communication that’s guaranteed to go through every time.]

[Tadashi's eyes flick briefly to her before they return to the fire blocking the corridor in front of them. It's not a raging inferno, not yet, not like the building he'd been plucked from to be tossed into this reality, but it was big enough to block the door to the Mess Hall. It feels hotter than a fire of it's size should though, Tadashi isn't suppressing it so much as holding it in place. It might burn itself out if he can hold it long enough, but it also might melt the walls and floor and ceiling in the process.]

There are people in the Mess Hall. We need to help them.

[It's not really an answer to her question, but considering how much effort he's expending both holding the fire in place and keeping himself from melting down, Claire's lucky he can even form coherent sentences.]

Oh, ah ...

[She looked at the fire, a little bit bewildered, and then up at Rexy. The Rex has stopped and tilts its head down at her. It's still really unsettling, but she's pretty sure it's not going to eat her.]

Got any ideas?

[She's not being serious, really, because it's animals can't talk or understand complicated commands at least not from her, also this isn't even the real Rexy. She's just hoping saying something will jumpstart her own mind ...]

[But then with a sudden lunge, Rexy barrels her massive head into the doorway, smashing it aside and creating a large enough exit for herself and anyone else who might be on either side of the wall.]

[Of course, now there are screams from inside the mess hall as the Rex continues to lumber in.]

Excuse me.

[Claire goes running after to make sure Rexy doesn't eat anyone.]

[The crash is loud enough that Tadashi almost loses his 'grip' on the fire -- it stutters and roars, but he manages to seize it before it pours into the opening the Rex had torn into the Mess Hall. At least it manages to shake the look of glazed terror from his eyes.]

Oh-okay. Tell them to hurry!

[Evacuating people past a surprise T-Rex is probably going to be difficult, but he's not sure how long he can hold the fire back.]

[Claire runs in and starts trying to direct people out. It takes a moment, because she is standing underneath a very imposing looking dinosaur (and let's be honest, Claire isn't exactly someone you'd want training your Golden Retriever let alone leave in charge of a massive carnivore). Rexy does, however, back down when Claire motions to her to back down.]

[Once that's established, sentients trapped there seem a lot more willing to dart past Rexy in order to get out into the hallway and past the fire. Tailing them is Claire - yes, running flawlessly in heels - and lumbering behind her is Rexy.]

[Tadashi has a friend back home who'd probably love to chat about running in heels, but he's currently a little too focused on the fire to notice anything but the movement.]

Everyone out?

Yes, everyone out.

[Although she does stop to look back and - yes. Looks empty. Then Rexy puts her head down and noses Claire further into the hallway. Claire yelps in surprise and runs a couple more steps to be closer to Tadashi.]
