Hey, these rings are super cool, but where can I get a skateboard?  Those still exist in the future, right?  Do you guys have hover boards?  Or like rocket powered skateboards?  That would be way, way cooler.

This place is really huge, though.  How do you guys even get anywhere when you're in a hurry?  They said I'm supposed to have superpowers, but I've tried teleporting and shit and nothing's different.  How do you tell if you have powers?

[ These aimless questions could probably carry on for a while, but luckily for everyone, she gets distracted by something in the hall she's drifting down and ends the transmition without much further ado. ]

If you're going to do anything, go hoverboard. Might cost a little extra but, trust me, it's entirely worth it. I mean, you might have the people that are into the classics but diving headfirst into the future is the best way to go.

That's all the doctors told you? Or was that just what you've figured out on your own?

It's possible that your powers might require specific circumstances to occur in order for them to do something. This could be why they couldn't tell you what your power was and only the fact that it existed. The doctors here couldn't identify my power either so I know from first-hand experience that their equipment isn't infallible.

I don't remember the exact details. I think it was sometime shortly after I was admitted to Academy City back in my own world.

I got punched. A lot. And it all healed a lot faster than I'm used to.

[Hey, nothing wrong with admitting it.]

At least, that's what happened for one of them. The other one, I wasn't thinking and reached into my bag and found it was a lot deeper than I was used to. A little testing found that I can access a pocket dimension. Which is really useful.

Is it like a dimension for pockets? You just keep shit in it?

It's hard to block all the hits when the other guy moves faster than you or you're outnumbered. [Dick shrugs.] And sometimes you just take the punches to get to where you need to be to turn the tide. Injuries heal. They just heal faster for me now.

A pocket dimension is sort of a slang term for a pocket of space outside of this one. It's not entirely separate from this dimension but it's also not entirely part of this one. I seem to be able to access it from things that can be properly closed, like the bag I had at the time. But yeah, that's basically what i do with it, just put things inside of it that I can grab out later.

Skateboards exist, and I believe they hover. I take the elevators when I'm in a hurry, though. They go sideways and diagonally.
