Hey, these rings are super cool, but where can I get a skateboard?  Those still exist in the future, right?  Do you guys have hover boards?  Or like rocket powered skateboards?  That would be way, way cooler.

[ Pause for slight altitude adjustment while the nameless kid drifts aimlessly through a doorway.]

This place is really huge, though.  How do you guys even get anywhere when you're in a hurry?  They said I'm supposed to have superpowers, but I've tried teleporting and shit and nothing's different.  How do you tell if you have powers?

[ These aimless questions could probably carry on for a while, but luckily for everyone, she gets distracted by something in the hall she's drifting down and ends the transmition without much further ado. ]

Hey, don't just give up like that! If all it takes is one lackluster answer to get you down, how do you expect to ever figure out what your ability is? We'll find out what it is so there's no need to worry. Let's start with everything you're tried so far and more forward from there.

How about we think about this from a different perspective? Instead of asking 'What abilities do I have?' and trying to blindly brute force our way to the answer, we should try asking 'What abilities would make the most sense for me to have?' Given that The Time Trapper is the one gifting people with abilities in order to oppose the Chronoblivion, it would make the most sense for those abilities to compliment the people they're given to.

[His theory was just baseless conjecture and he had no idea if it was right, but there was no way he was going to mention that to her. Instead, he flashes her a bright, confident smile in order to wipe away any doubt in her heart and ensure her that they will figure this out.]

Alright, the next step to unlocking your potential has become clear. I'm going to buy you a skateboard.

[It was questionable that handing her skateboard would trigger anything, but at the very least it would make her happy.]

I've even got the perfect place in mind where you can go wild in without any worries. We're going to use the holodeck to uncover your ability.

You don't gotta, but. Okay. If it's for a training thing. Do they got a skate ramp in the holodeck?

You just arrived here so I guess it's expected that you're unfamiliar with what a holodeck is. Basically, it's a room that creates artificial environments using hard-light holograms. Everything created inside the holodeck will look and feel real, but in reality are all illusions. Think of it like a video game being brought to life in the real world.

[Hopefully, his explanation helped her understand how amazing the holodeck is.]

This is why it's the perfect place to train in. We're going to use it to simulate an entire skate park.
