[ TEXT ] SENDING OUT AN S.O.S. TO THE WORLD
Quick Check in for Members of Project Freelancer, the UNSC, and our mutual associates- or anyone that wants to get word out about themselves having changed or not changed or...whatever. Has questions? This is Agent York and Delta, so far we're unaffected by this time ripple thing. Connie, North, Wash, Grif, Chief, Theta, Cortana, Locus, Azucar, Parker, Pidge, Fareeha, Amélie - and anyone else I'm forgetting, shoot me a text back, alright?
I'll deliver pancakes and blankets or other care package items if needed. If you'd rather come talk in person swing by my habitat, I'll be hanging in the bar. Directions are below. Also, Jason- buddy? Swing by, I feel like I owe you a beer.
[ In neat green lines there's a little holographic map showing how to get to York's dive bar from the recipient's current location, wherever they might be. ]
Specific refreshments are available upon request.

Normally. He looks up now and yeah, she looks mad. Shit. ]
Uh. Taylor Murray. Locksmith. York. We are friends- or at least we are when you remember me? I'm checking in with everyone to see who all this 'time ripple' bullshit is hitting and considering you aren't carting a snack pack of pudding or a sixpack of beer to share I'm gonna guess you're. Affected.
[action]
'Friends'? Right. Because I'm so good at playing nice with the other kids.
[ She takes another step forward, moving the way she moves when she's working, controlled tension like a coiled spring, ready to leap off in some previously-undetermined direction. ]
How are you tracking me?
[action]
[ Jesus why is everyone so paranoid and defensive in their youths? Why? He sets his hands down on the bar after dismissing the projected screens that had been off to the side, focus shifting from that project to Parker. He keeps his shoulders loose, his posture open.
Unarmed and not about to do any harm. ]
Uh- I just called your omnicomm? It's like a super fancy cellphone. And that's- it. All I did was call you. I didn't track you. I don't track you as a rule. I mean- you hang out in the vents. Not my style. Also tracking your friends is kinda creepy?
[action]
[ Everything Taylor/Locksmith/York says sounds so utterly bizarre and incomprehensible that it might have to be true if only because it's too stupid to be a cover story. But it's still bizarre and stupid and every ounce of Archie's teaching tells Parker to go to ground until she can find out more. But she can't go to ground without knowing how people can just find her. ]
What law-enforcement organization are you with?
[action]
[ Riding shotgun at the moment but he flickers into being, an equally green hologram of a foot tall suited man complete with an armored helmet as is his current custom. ]
I thought using specific directions using the on board gps of the omnicomms would be more efficient than simply offering them from a public space that the viewer may not be able to find on their own. Please forgive my overstepping.
Uh. Yeah. Like I said, tracking friends is creepy, Delta. You're not the creepy one, remember? [ A beat. ] Right- We're both a part of the Legion. Superhero cops.
[action]
[ All potential violence is temporarily on hold, because what the fuck. ]
[action]
[ Can a digital voice sound slightly offended? It can. York is- laughing at it, a little. ]
You're the second person to call him a leprehaun. But yeah, this is Delta, he's my partner. We coded up the basic map together but I guess it works with the Omnicomm's GPS. Thing is- that map? Only works for you. So I can't use it to find you, but you can use it to find here.
[action]
Why do you look like a robot if you're not a robot?
[ The armor is throwing her off; they don't have that kind of thing where she's from. And the best they have on the artificial intelligence front definitely can't hold a conversation.
Her attention flickers to Taylor/Locksmith/York when he speaks. She's not letting her guard down yet completely, but this is getting 'weird dream' weird, and she might not have to figure out how to take him out. ]
So it's computer-thing based. Okay.
[action]
Delta's learning how to live and think like a real boy so it's kinda- baby steps? He's still figuring out how he wants his face to look. There's no rushing that. [ Supportive bro york is supportive, as he should be. Supportive bro York is also a little dumb in so much that he pulls a bottle of beer from the fridge behind the counter and offers it to Parker. One good swing could crack his head open.
Maybe she's feeling more thirsty than bloodthirsty. ] Yep. I think your guy, Hardinson? Can do similar shit. Unless you're before that too.
[action]
[ Parker does not take the opportunity to club Taylor/Locksmith/York over the head when he turns his back on her. She gives him a disbelieving look when he offers her the bottle. ]
I'm not taking that from your hand. You're a superhero cop, I don't want to get cuffed. And I don't have a 'guy'. I work alone.
[ She's heard of a 'Hardison', but only by reputation. Supposed to be very good, if you're in the market for a hacker. ]
[action]
[action]
I almost believe you, but only because that sounds too stupid to be some kind of cover story trick. Why did I become a superhero cop?
Re: [action]
[ He shrugs, sips his beer, and leans against the bar. This is all something he's both used to and constantly adjusting. ]
Partly cuz it's the thing to do and it'll save the world you live in. Pretty sure you like it not being destroyed cuz...you live there.
[action]
I had to become a super cop or else they were going to destroy my world?!
[ That can't be right, can it? It seems like it would work out awfully poorly for them, at any rate. Parker knows herself well enough to guess that. ]
