[ Can a digital voice sound slightly offended? It can. York is- laughing at it, a little. ]

You're the second person to call him a leprehaun. But yeah, this is Delta, he's my partner. We coded up the basic map together but I guess it works with the Omnicomm's GPS. Thing is- that map? Only works for you. So I can't use it to find you, but you can use it to find here.

[ Parker's attention is still mostly fixed on Delta, though his slight offense flies over her head like a bird on the wing -- and not one of the attention-getting birds she occasionally releases on a job to get security to turn off the motion sensors. ]

Why do you look like a robot if you're not a robot?

[ The armor is throwing her off; they don't have that kind of thing where she's from. And the best they have on the artificial intelligence front definitely can't hold a conversation.

Her attention flickers to Taylor/Locksmith/York when he speaks. She's not letting her guard down yet completely, but this is getting 'weird dream' weird, and she might not have to figure out how to take him out. ]

So it's computer-thing based. Okay.

AI are not designated appearances. More often than not we have no need of them. This is...a work in progress.

Delta's learning how to live and think like a real boy so it's kinda- baby steps? He's still figuring out how he wants his face to look. There's no rushing that. [ Supportive bro york is supportive, as he should be. Supportive bro York is also a little dumb in so much that he pulls a bottle of beer from the fridge behind the counter and offers it to Parker. One good swing could crack his head open.

Maybe she's feeling more thirsty than bloodthirsty. ] Yep. I think your guy, Hardinson? Can do similar shit. Unless you're before that too.

I guess if you get to pick your face there's really no reason to rush things.

[ Parker does not take the opportunity to club Taylor/Locksmith/York over the head when he turns his back on her. She gives him a disbelieving look when he offers her the bottle. ]

I'm not taking that from your hand. You're a superhero cop, I don't want to get cuffed. And I don't have a 'guy'. I work alone.

[ She's heard of a 'Hardison', but only by reputation. Supposed to be very good, if you're in the market for a hacker. ]

Okay, fair. [ He shrugs, sets the beer on the counter, crossing his arms and leaning back half a step to give her space. ] You're also a superhero cop too, if you heard me right. You kinda run the espionage department? Pretty damn good at it too so- yeah, you work well alone, but you're solid at working with other people too. Cross my heart.

[ She picks up the bottle but doesn't move to drink from it. She doesn't tend to drink around other people, or even much at all. But he offered it to her, and she'll at least hold it to show willing. Or maybe just long enough for him to let his guard down so she can throw it at his head. ]

I almost believe you, but only because that sounds too stupid to be some kind of cover story trick. Why did I become a superhero cop?

Cuz we all did when we got here? I dunno, man, I'm just trying to keep my head afloat along with the rest of you.

[ He shrugs, sips his beer, and leans against the bar. This is all something he's both used to and constantly adjusting. ]

Partly cuz it's the thing to do and it'll save the world you live in. Pretty sure you like it not being destroyed cuz...you live there.

[ Parker frowns sharply. ]

I had to become a super cop or else they were going to destroy my world?!

[ That can't be right, can it? It seems like it would work out awfully poorly for them, at any rate. Parker knows herself well enough to guess that. ]
