[ There's a perplexed looking young man in view of the screen. Anyone familiar with Locus will probably recognize him, but something's definitely different. That tell-tale x-shaped scar? Gone. His hair is shorter, hanging just below his jaw. Moreover, his eyes don't quite hold that thousand-yard-stare to them just yet.
He looks, well. Teenaged.
He's also holding Luna up to view. She's purring heavily, but he appears bewildered by her presence, if anything. ]
Does anyone know whose cat this is? I just...found her here when I woke up.

Re: Action
Yeah. We're friends- mind if I come in?
[ At least Sam's not shooting at him, that might've been one person too many to deal with today. ]

I didn't know I had friends.

[ Rude, Sir. RUDE. Still he doesn't say much of anything else before dropping into a crouch, sing songing under his breath the habitual, perpetual- ]
Lovely lady Luna- How are you sweetheart, huh? Bet you didn't notice anything going weird with your favorite pillow still around.
no subject
[ It seems fitting. Somehow, he thinks he should have known that. But how could he? ]
I don't think I caught your name.

[ He frowns, shaking his head. ]
You're mistaking me for someone else. I'm just a recruit. I was just accepted. I haven't even gotten to boot camp yet, and I'm not a hero. Super or otherwise.

[ He pulls up an omnicomm and flips through to his folder of bropics- tossing the device over to Sam. It's snapshots of them training, grappling, chilling in the observation deck, chilling on the sofa where he's currently occupied with luna- on a beach dressed down with Azucar. ]
When you're older? You're kind of a badass.

The pictures, however...
He looks at them with something approaching awe, flipping through them slowly. That looks like it could be him, one day. Almost certainly. But-- ]
How is that possible?
no subject
[ He settles back against the sofa, fingers still scritching at Luna's fur. ] We're friends when you're older. No reason we can't be friends now too, yeah?
no subject
That's a lot to take on faith, you realize.
no subject
[ He grins brightly, which is probably odd considering what he's saying but- it's useful. ]
You'll figure that out eventually. But yeah, I'm being honest. We're bros. You're a super hero. This is your cat.

[ As Taylor continues, he looks less skeptical and more than a little hopeful. ]
But if this is all real...what happened during the Great War? We must have won, or none of us would still be here.

That was the important thing. That was the reason he'd wanted to fight at all. ]
Ring?
[ His eyes fall to a ring that still appears to be on his finger. One he hadn't really noticed before. ]

This is a dream. It has to be.
no subject
[ He hovers till he's lounging at about eye height, offering Locus a hand up. ]
no subject
But then, he decides to take a leap of faith. Nods and reaches up for his hand and tries. Honestly tries. Wills himself to let his feet leave the ground and...
Suddenly there's no weight to him at all. No solid floor. He's hovering there alongside him and looking around him, bewildered but not frightened, not precisely. ]
This isn't just antigravity, is it?
no subject
[ Because why not reference classic children's literature while flying in his livingroom. ]
Nah, some kind of superhero science. We all got powers too when we arrived. You? You don't miss. Ever. And you can turn invisible, I think.
no subject
[ At which point he sort of frowns, like he's suddenly cluing in. ]
But you're...talking about something more than that. Aren't you.
[ He hasn't quite let go of his hand. Not yet. ]

[ There's the other power to ponder over as well. Is it as simple as the ring's power appeared to be? Brow furrowing in thought, he closes his eyes, and a second later? Gone from sight.
That pressure is still there on York's hand, however. A few seconds tick past, and then... ]
Well this would have been useful.
no subject
[ Down an eye, all that. But the invisibility is- he's seen it before, with the armor. Having him just shift out of sight is...kinda cool and kinda startling when he's just hanging in his civies. ]
That...is still pretty damn cool. Lemme guess: Hard time at school?
[ Teens and shit, man. ]

When I went to school. We had to move a lot because of the war. Sometimes I'd just read at home, or wherever we were.
no subject
[ And here he is, floating and sparing a hand to scoop Luna up and rest her on his abdomen, probably prying. ]
Usually I talk, you listen. You're kinda quiet.
