[ An incredibly fuzzy image blips across the screen, dark with some patches of skin, which ends up looking like a forehead as the camera pulls back a little. The screen shudders and the audio rustles noisily as she sets up the camera to point it at herself. She speaks directly over the speaker, mumbling low under her breath at first. ]

Testing, testing...

[ Then she draws back completely and with the most utmost concentration, she positions it so it captures at least most of her upper body. She's a skinny little teenager with massive hair, decked out in all black. ]

Hellooo, Legionnaires! Lash here, and this is experiment number three. Now I know, I know, I know what you're thinking! "What's with this cute mysterious girl? Boy, would I love to know more about her! Why doesn't she say a few words about herself?!" Well, that's because we've got way more important things to do here!

[ She giggles, an almost diabolical squeaking that sounds distinctly like a "Teeheehee!" ]

Check this out!

[ She presses her palm against the wall of her room, the ones the Legion assigns the newcomers, and her entire body begins to slowly transform. Not just her body, but her clothing, too. The semi-matte texture of the smooth wall turns Lash into a statue of white. Her wild hair almost seems a little too top-heavy, though, and she tilts slightly to one side. ]

Whoa— OK! Looks like the volume is a liiiiittle more equal to the mass than my actual hair, but it's not too bad. I can work with this.

[ She takes a spell to read the text scrawling across her screen, her grin impish, eyes darting quickly side to side like a rickety typewriter. The fact that she looks like she's made of PVC only makes it that much more bizarre. ]

Don't be stupid! It's not just this material, you know...

[ Then turns around slowly, still adjusting to the material, as she looks for something relatively easy to manage. She touches the bedsheet besides her, concentrating for a moment before she transforms again, and promptly flops onto the ground in a heap. Literally like a pile of blankets. ]

[ She struggles to her feet, the soft material of the blanket making it very difficult to stand. But she's not just a sheet of cloth; more like a very well-crafted doll. With a growl, she clenches her fists and concentrates on changing back to her normal self. ]

Ugh, whew— I mean... I guess?? It's kinda lame, when you think about it. Especially that last thing I just did.

[ There isn't much material to work with right now, what with her room being barebones and all. ]

I wish I could make things spontaneously explode with my mind! That would be so much more useful! [And she giggles, TEEHEEHEE!]

[ Robbie is greatly amused, and so he's doing his best to match her energy level. ]

Who is this cute, mysterious girl? Boy, I'd love to get to know her. I wish she'd say more about herself and her camouflaging abilities!

[ Flattery gets you everywhere with her, even if it's a joke! She steadies herself, giggling again as she tests some of her basic motor functions: flexing her fingers, balancing on one leg and bending her leg at the knee, things like that. ]

She'd totally say more, but it's still a mystery! The ability, too, I guess.

[ She slowly changes herself back, though this seems to take her a little more time. Curiously enough. ]

It's not really flashy and explosive, but whatever. Gotta make due with whatever you get from, like... freaky radiation or something, I dunno.

Drat! She seemed so self-actualized that I thought, surely, this is the girl who will teach us her way of synergy!

[ Robbie's not exactly sure what she means by "it's still a mystery." It's a misspeak or a joke or some nonsense about not knowing herself yet. It's hopefully not a case of amnesia. Or is it? Next time, on As Legion World Spins... ]

[ She waves her arms around making goofy ghost noises. She goes along with the joke, giggling as she flops onto the bed (nearly falling over in the process). ]

Anyway! Stupid jokes aside, it might be perfect for basic camouflage... it would definitely work to my tactical advantage!

Oh, fer sure, mate! Ya figured out how far ya adapt to material properties? Seems like ya got density covered, but what about hardness? Melting point? Flammability? Conductivity? Magnetism? OoOOoh, that would be great!! Imagine all the crazy stuff ya could do if ya really did take on all the properties of anything!! What'd you think it'd feel like ta melt?? Would it hurt or would it feel like a good stretch? Or maybe it wouldn't feel like anythin' at all since ya don't really have skin at that point, unless yer nerves are still in place even during a change. Could ya put yerself back together or would ya have ta heal just like everyone else? I mean I guess it doesn't matter because ya could turn inta somethin' where ya'd need a diamond chainsaw ta get through ya but in place like this ya never know what everyone else is packin'. I mean worse comes ta worse ya always can just use it fer just camouflage and yeah y've got plenty'a tactical advantages ta work with, depends on what kinda kit yer already comin' in with, ya know what I mean?
