[ An incredibly fuzzy image blips across the screen, dark with some patches of skin, which ends up looking like a forehead as the camera pulls back a little. The screen shudders and the audio rustles noisily as she sets up the camera to point it at herself. She speaks directly over the speaker, mumbling low under her breath at first. ]

Testing, testing...

[ Then she draws back completely and with the most utmost concentration, she positions it so it captures at least most of her upper body. She's a skinny little teenager with massive hair, decked out in all black. ]

Hellooo, Legionnaires! Lash here, and this is experiment number three. Now I know, I know, I know what you're thinking! "What's with this cute mysterious girl? Boy, would I love to know more about her! Why doesn't she say a few words about herself?!" Well, that's because we've got way more important things to do here!

[ She giggles, an almost diabolical squeaking that sounds distinctly like a "Teeheehee!" ]

[ She presses her palm against the wall of her room, the ones the Legion assigns the newcomers, and her entire body begins to slowly transform. Not just her body, but her clothing, too. The semi-matte texture of the smooth wall turns Lash into a statue of white. Her wild hair almost seems a little too top-heavy, though, and she tilts slightly to one side. ]

Whoa— OK! Looks like the volume is a liiiiittle more equal to the mass than my actual hair, but it's not too bad. I can work with this.

Drat! She seemed so self-actualized that I thought, surely, this is the girl who will teach us her way of synergy!

[ Robbie's not exactly sure what she means by "it's still a mystery." It's a misspeak or a joke or some nonsense about not knowing herself yet. It's hopefully not a case of amnesia. Or is it? Next time, on As Legion World Spins... ]

[ But she's giggling madly anyway. For an alien planet that she'd suddenly dropped onto, she's handling all of this pretty well. ]

Well, don't you worry. She just might give you a glimpse into the great, stupid world of turning into things you touch! Anyway, let's stop being stupid for like one second— who're you anyway, Explosive Butt guy?

[ Ah, the cheap thrill of grossing a girl out. He's not ten anymore, but it never does get old. ]

[ She rolls her eyes. Boys are so dumb!!!! ]

Fine, hey you it is! I'm gonna take a super highly educated guess and say you've got some fast-moving super powers.

[ It takes work to be so annoying. He would be flattered to know how many explanation points he merits. ]

Close! I don't actually call it superspeed, but it turns out that whole conservation of energy thing is just a guideline. I can move faster with every impact.

[ She draws out the sound, mischievous in its obvious conclusion— but then she just looks a mite confused. ]

Like what? You hit something and ya go faster or something?

[ Robbie rocks his head from side to side, making a good imitation of the blip, blip, blip of Pong. Then, he remembers that dated references are even more useless here. ]

Like a ping pong ball on steroids - or a Bludger, or a magnoball. Whatever metaphor works for you.

[ The reference is definitely lost on her, as she sways her own head side to side to mimic him, but she bounces back with enthusiasm when she gets it. ]

Sounds dangerous!

[ She didn't slow down the conversation to ask what he meant by it - that's a success. ]

Au contraire! This power comes with built-in immunity to blunt force trauma!

[ But he grins at her. ]

The energy bubbles just scream pizzazz, don't they?

[ The details don't interest her so much as the main point, though she'll probably ponder the finer points when she's focused on a project or something. Musing to herself and such. ]

Then just dangerous for everyone else.

[ Not that she seems remotely bothered by this fact, perhaps a little too OK with it. Teeheeeee...her eyes follow the bubbles, only realizing now that they're there. ]

Sure do, buddy! Maybe if I catch one of those bubbles I can turn into energy! I mean, someone suggested it but I was like nooooo, that's probably a bad idea because I'm still new to this stupid power, but honestly?! I think I should try something like that anyway!

[ Robbie sniffs at this, almost insulted. ]

Only if I want to be dangerous. It's not as uncontrolled as it looks.

[ There's a thump from offscreen and a few dozen more multicolor globules float and bounce around him. ]

You can come try. I wonder if you'll glow.

[ She giggles at the reaction, leaving it at that since she assumed what he says is true. As for the offer, however... ]

Ooooh, can I really? I guess experiment number four will be happening a lot sooner than I expected!

Sure, why not? We can see if one of the training rooms are free. I have a strict rule about not messing with new people's powers outside of blast-enforced walls. You know, in case you turn into energy and explode.

Pretty sure that won't happen.

[ A nervous giggle this time. ]

Y-Yeah! I bet that won't happen too, nope! Where are the training rooms around here, huh?

[ He is fairly certain that is an actual impossibility, unless she's changing her body into the substance she looks like. ]

Oh, hang on, I'll get that for you.

[ Well, technically... she's absorbing their properties and turning into the substance a la Absorption Man (just not as strong). But that's for them to find out. ]
