[ An incredibly fuzzy image blips across the screen, dark with some patches of skin, which ends up looking like a forehead as the camera pulls back a little. The screen shudders and the audio rustles noisily as she sets up the camera to point it at herself. She speaks directly over the speaker, mumbling low under her breath at first. ]

Testing, testing...

[ Then she draws back completely and with the most utmost concentration, she positions it so it captures at least most of her upper body. She's a skinny little teenager with massive hair, decked out in all black. ]

Hellooo, Legionnaires! Lash here, and this is experiment number three. Now I know, I know, I know what you're thinking! "What's with this cute mysterious girl? Boy, would I love to know more about her! Why doesn't she say a few words about herself?!" Well, that's because we've got way more important things to do here!

[ She giggles, an almost diabolical squeaking that sounds distinctly like a "Teeheehee!" ]

[ She presses her palm against the wall of her room, the ones the Legion assigns the newcomers, and her entire body begins to slowly transform. Not just her body, but her clothing, too. The semi-matte texture of the smooth wall turns Lash into a statue of white. Her wild hair almost seems a little too top-heavy, though, and she tilts slightly to one side. ]

Whoa— OK! Looks like the volume is a liiiiittle more equal to the mass than my actual hair, but it's not too bad. I can work with this.

[ She struggles to her feet, the soft material of the blanket making it very difficult to stand. But she's not just a sheet of cloth; more like a very well-crafted doll. With a growl, she clenches her fists and concentrates on changing back to her normal self. ]

Ugh, whew— I mean... I guess?? It's kinda lame, when you think about it. Especially that last thing I just did.

[ There isn't much material to work with right now, what with her room being barebones and all. ]

I wish I could make things spontaneously explode with my mind! That would be so much more useful! [And she giggles, TEEHEEHEE!]

what if there was a dude made of an indestructible metal and no one could hurt him and you touched him

[ She mulls over that for a minute. He's got a point, there... ]

OK, fine! That's kinda cool, I guess... and with my new, indestructible metal body, I can punch a guy's head off! Or something like that!

[ Punches the air off to the side for added effect. ]

oh what if you touched a dude made of energy

and you became energy

and then you could shoot energy

[bombsaway]

[ A thoughtful pause. ]

Yeahhhh, like, as fun as getting my grubby mitts on abstracts sounds like fun in theory? I was kinda warned against doing stuff like that. Just because I'm such a newbie to this power. Such a bummer!

[ Dramatic eyeroll, hands on hips. ]

yeah i guess itd be kind of hard to even find someone like that in the first place

[ Not really but teehee to that anyway. She takes a moment to consider the second part of the message. ]

I dunno... what about ice?! Are you asking me to go find some and touch it, 'cuz there sure isn't any ice in this bare little room!

[ She almost looks too serious... ]

[ She bursts into giggles. ]

although really the rest of my powers are basically all ghost powers so

Ghost powers, huh? You mean like, going through walls, being see-through and generally doing spooky stuff...

[ She rolls that word around on her tongue for a bit. ]

Sounds pretty boring to me, but whatever! If we gotta play nice guy rules, then we gotta play nice guy rules...and sometimes bend them a little.

[ The last part is mumbled and said very quickly. ]

Who do y'think you should possess?! Maybe we can get more food from the cafeteria lady!

i havent really found anyone i wanna try overshadowing yet

i mean i can get extra food from the mess hall if i ask nicely so

[ She makes a huge show of rolling her eyes. ]

Again! Boring! Are you suuuure you haven't found someone you wanted to overshadow? Like maybe a dude who's like big and tall and you wanna know how it might feel to be super strong, or someone you pretty much hate and want them to do stupid embarrassing things, or just overshadow some rando for the heck of it! Orrrr... I mean, the options are endless!
