Dot Dot Dot [Video]
[ It’s been a very long week for Miku. The room behind her is spartan and bare, since she hasn’t found it in her to ask about decoration yet, trying to absorb her new status. She is very pale, with dark brown hair bundled behind her head in a massive bun, a face framed by thick fringe, and from the way her brown eyes keep looking away from the camera, quite nervous.
Introductions, after all, are always so scary.
Her hands are clasped together, thumb rubbing over the joint of her pinky over and over as she tries to think of what to say. The Legion ring catches the light, and she bites her lip for a moment before taking a breath and setting her narrow shoulders straight.]
Good evening, my name is Miku Hinasaki... but I’m told I should call myself "Recall" now. My abilities are... retrocognition, mostly. I look forward to working with you.
[She bows politely and straightens up again, then smiles a little.]
I’m... not sure what else I should say? [The feed turns off, after a little fumbling on Miku's part.]

I would be grateful. They explained, but it's a lot for me to take in.
[She shrugs, and looks down.] Retrocognition might be more trouble than it's worth, though I don't intend to use it for poor purposes. Just to help.
Re: [video]
It's definitely a lot to take in. I don't know about you, but nobody has super powers where I'm from, so I was just completely in over my head when I woke up here. Then add all the technological advances from what I'm used to and the aliens and... [He shakes his head.] Not going to lie, I spent a lot of time staring at the ceiling trying to process everything. If it helps, I promise that you do get used to it.
I'll grant that it's not particularly straight-forward, but I bet you'll find a lot of ways to help with it. [He smiles wryly.] I mean, right off, you're going to make solving "what happened here" situations a lot easier.
Re: [video]
Not where I'm from, either. [This is not entirely a lie; after all, it's not like people are flying around where she's from, unless they've already left the mortal coil.] I mean, I wasn't even fond of my microwave, and now... [She makes a vague movement, indicating the room.] Well, I'll adapt. Especially if there are kind people like you and Ms Amari about.
[She flushes pink slightly.] I suppose you have a point there. I'll do my best.
Re: [video]
Adapting is doable, though. Worst case scenario, there are a lot of neat outdoorsy places on the Hab Deck, and the Threshold Gates can take you nearly anywhere you want to go.
[He smiles again.] Doing your best is all anyone here would ask. You'll do great. I mean, you've already looked at this situation and decided to help, that's pretty awesome.
Re: [video]
I... suppose if I'm going to adapt, then I should familiarize myself with everything a little better. Do you suggest anything?
Re: [video]
[He considers her question for a moment.]
I'd probably suggest starting with the Hab Deck. Everyone's used to people wandering around there, so you can get used to all the new stuff without people trying to sneakily take pictures of you. I can say for sure that I don't recommend trying to find and visit your hometown. I tried it and everything was just...off. It felt weird.
Re: [video]
Ah...
I think I'd really prefer not to have my picture taken. Is that something they really do?
