Dot Dot Dot [Video]
[ It’s been a very long week for Miku. The room behind her is spartan and bare, since she hasn’t found it in her to ask about decoration yet, trying to absorb her new status. She is very pale, with dark brown hair bundled behind her head in a massive bun, a face framed by thick fringe, and from the way her brown eyes keep looking away from the camera, quite nervous.
Introductions, after all, are always so scary.
Her hands are clasped together, thumb rubbing over the joint of her pinky over and over as she tries to think of what to say. The Legion ring catches the light, and she bites her lip for a moment before taking a breath and setting her narrow shoulders straight.]
Good evening, my name is Miku Hinasaki... but I’m told I should call myself "Recall" now. My abilities are... retrocognition, mostly. I look forward to working with you.
[She bows politely and straightens up again, then smiles a little.]
I’m... not sure what else I should say? [The feed turns off, after a little fumbling on Miku's part.]

[You've lost her, Jason.]
I'm from Japan, ah... specifically Tokyo. I was, am?, a photographer's assistant.
[AUDIO]
[Jason just wants to be hip but the universe won't let him.]
That's pretty cool. I'm pretty sure we've got some Japanese people here. Tadashi... Uh. Azula, maybe? Zuko's gone, so's the flower girl... There's that Kubo kid. [Huh. Was there anyone else? He couldn't remember.] I don't know about any photographers, though. Sorry.
[AUDIO]
[The thought that other Japanese people are around is appealing, and she breathes a little sigh of relief. If she's not the only one, and they're OK here, then surely she will be OK here, too.]
It is perfectly fine if you don't - I... I'm only an assistant.
What did you do where you're from?
[AUDIO]
Everyone's got to start somewhere, right?
[If his winning smile isn't audible, it should be.]
Me? I was a high school student. I mainly hung out with my friends and tried not to fail history. [He laughs at that. He's still going to school here, one of the few bothering to continue their education. It's hard work, but it passes the time.] I also held martial arts classes at the juice bar. Anyone who does martial arts around here is way better than me, though.
[AUDIO]
I've never done any of that.
[Though something tells her that she won't get much of a chance to opt out in the future]
[AUDIO]
Well, if you're interested in starting, you'll have a few options for teachers. I think Wash has a few students. There's mandatory training that covers the basics, Umbra, Timber Wolf, and Karate Kid tend to handle those. Karate Kid's pretty much the best you'll find here, honestly. I've taught self defense courses for women, if you just wanted something real basic. It's all up to you, though. Some of us don't see a whole lot of combat and there are times where it's just search and rescue type stuff.
