[ Today on your omnicom: a slightly baffled looking Sam, sitting cross-legged on one of the common area couches with a soda and half a bowl of popcorn. ]
'K, so.
Remember how Chief went back home for like two minutes, but got back here months later?
I guess it works both ways, because I was definitely back for a while but I'm like 95% this is the same splatterball game I was watching right before I went.
[ He stops to eat a handful of the popcorn, and - ]
- wow, yeah, this stuff didn't even have time to get cold.
So, you know. In case anybody was wondering.
(ooc: it'ssss a canon update. Sam's about current now, up to right before Champions starts - which means that if you're avoiding Civil War II spoilers, give me a holler and I'll make sure not to tag you with any!)

[ He wrinkles his nose. He's fine, but man, what a few months it was. ]
Yeah, I'm okay.

[ It wasn't too bad, but... ]

[ His plan for disorientation is "wait it out and watch the rest of this game," but that only takes so long. ]

You don't know my mom.
[ The rest of this, though, he switches off the public channel. ]
Speaking of, things alright at home?
[ Not that he's ever going to mention the memory sharing thing ever again, or admit that he cares about Sam as a person and wants him to be alright, but... ]

Every time I think everything's as messed up as it's gonna get, something proves me wrong again.

what do you mean go home
no subject
Exactly what it sounds like, dude. I was here and then I was back home, exactly when I left - which, you know, I really would've been okay if the Time Trapper wanted to hit the fast forward button a little, because that fight sucked? And then after a while, bam, here I am again.
I dunno why he does it, it's confusing as heck.

like are we exempt or extra particularly fucked or what
[Because he genuinely has no idea what he'd get sent back to in that situation. The planet they'd meant to take up residence on? Paradox space? Like did he miss the bus on getting to a new universe or would he actually get back to his friends? That could be either awesome or completely godawful. This seems like a legitimate thing to be concerned about.]

[Not that Jason's got any particularly special reason to be thinking about home right now! Nope. Not here.]
no subject
I'm not sure if that was my dad.
[ Discovering that you brought home a clone is complicated. Did he save his real dad the first time, and then Warbringer did the switcheroo when they grabbed him again? Was the one that blasted off of Chitauri Prime in the first place the clone all along?
Headaches. ]

[It seemed kind of stupid, to be sent back home for a while and then immediately be brought back... Though he was kind of low-key jealous, too.]

But like it is now, you came back and didn't even get a stupid t-shirt.

[On the other hand, it doesn't stop him from looking concerned. But, then, that's something that Vance does well.]
Well. That's certainly an interesting phenomena.
no subject
Actually, you probably will, but still.
no subject
The answer to this is probably no, but I'll ask anyway.

The real question is: did you get to see any more of the wormholey rip in the fabric of time and space on the way home? Inquiring minds want to know what series had the color of time right.
no subject
Kind of a rip-off, if you ask me.

[ Robbie adopts a marginally more serious look, with squarer shoulders and a tired tone. ]
No offense is meant, fellow Legionnaires who will probably jump all over me anyway. I know everyone's doing their best, but Sam and I have been denied peace-filled, flower-powered utopian futures, a bird-eye's view of tesseract, and ice cream with actual baby cow steroids in it.
Anyway, Sam. How's Kaelynn and your mom?

[There are a lot of things he could ask or say.]
You're still short. A whole time-skip and there's not even a millimeter difference.
[Admit it, Sam. You missed him.]

no subject
Well, let's get real here, it ain't like home's any safer than here. I'm glad you're back.
[Really, he just wants to be in the same place as Sam, regardless of which world they're in. Rich isn't 100% sure that he'll stay alive after all this, and that means he wants as much time with the people he cares about as possible. He's got a whole lot of noogieing to get up to. And the idea of Sam being in another world where Rich can't be there if he needs help makes him anxious.]
You holding up okay? How's the noggin after that business with the Hulk?
