[video] Introductions are a thing you do, right?
[A rather awkward and uncomfortable looking 15 year-old boy with extremely unkempt hair comes over the video feed. He's obviously not used to things like this.]
[Namely: Being social in any capacity with people outside his class.]
Uh. H-hello, my name is M-Midoriya Izuku, U.A. Superhero High School class 1-A. Not that, um, not that anyone probably knows what that is, alternate universes and all...
[He catches himself slouching as his words drift off to almost whisper-quiet, his bashful nature getting the better of him. He quickly sits back upright, and speaks louder.]
I've just joined the Legion, and so I'd like to introduce myself. Which I...just did. Right. My, uh, my hero name is Deku, which is also my nickname back home, so feel free to call me that...if you want to, of course...
[Normally, he wouldn't be nearly this flustered, but being told you're going to face an unspeakable evil of cosmic, universe eating proportions can do that to a person.]
A-Anyway! I just want to say, I might be young and inexperienced, but I look forward to working with you all!
[Please, someone tell this child to unclench. At this rate it seems like he might pass out from awkwardness if left to his own devices.]

[The last he remembered before waking up in medbay was passing the first round of his Provisional Hero License exam which was in its own way fairly intense. Adding more stress on top of that just has him wound up.]
Either's fine, really. My friends--[along with one "frenemy"]--call me Deku. Besides, it's what I picked as what I want for my professional hero name, so I don't mind people using it.

[All these hairless, snoutless faces she kept coming across were super weird, even is Judy was too polite to bring it up. Nick had been doing it more than enough for the both of them, anyways.]

Hi Midoriya...or Deku I guess. I'm Jason Grace, or just Jason. It took me ages to come up with my superhero name -- never had to have one before. I eventually just went with Bolts though. I'm still pretty new too but I've been doing my best to figure this place out if you'd like a small tour.
[He looks sheepish]
This place is so big, I can't promise that I don't still get a little lost if it's anywhere other than crew quarters or the mess hall -- figured those two out pretty fast.
But, hey, you're not the only one here who is younger -- I've met several people around my age along with adults as well. Some of us may even have more experience than than some of the adults when it comes to having powers, so I think it all evens out a little.
[He hopes that's reassuring. He's at least trying to be.]
So you said you're from U.A. Superhero High School? I guess I shouldn't be too surprised that in some universe there's a whole high school for superheroes. After all, where I'm from there are two whole camps for demigod children. What's superhero high school like?

A-ah! Nice to meet you, Jason. [His curiosity regarding other heroes started to overtake his awkwardness, so he couldn't help but follow that up with a question.] Bolts...you have electricity based powers, I'm guessing?
[At the mention of U.A., he paused. Even though he himself acknowledged that people might not know the school, it still felt extremely strange that such a famous and esteemed school wasn't common knowledge here.]
It's...amazing, really. It's considered one of the top hero schools in the world. I only barely managed to get in, and the curriculum itself is grueling, so I have to work extra hard to make the most of the opportunity I've been given.
[He seemed a little embarrassed talking about it, since to him just mentioning being able to go there felt a bit like bragging. But after he finished talking, he paused, blinked, and then continued.]
Wait. Demigod?

That's right. I can also control the wind and use that to fly -- so the name fit for multiple reasons I think. I had a few other options I was considering -- but for me it was a little awkward coming up with a name. So I tried to go with one that wasn't too...[he searches for a word to use here.] pretentious.
[The way Deku talks makes Jason think that he wouldn't be judged if he admitted to having made a whole list of names before narrowing it down to Bolts. He still wasn't entirely sure of THAT choice either, but it was what he had landed on.]
Sounds tough. I guess you could look at this place as a sort of...study abroad program then? Not sure how you'll convince your school back home to accept it as credit though.
[He's partly joking. After all, they ARE technically here for a serious reason and to save the entire multiverse. But Jason's used to dangers on the global level, so upping the stakes hasn't really sunk in for him yet. He's also doing his best to make the conversation easy -- so he hopes that helps.
It's Jason's turn to look a little embarrassed now. Every time he mentions this he feels like he's bragging, because he has a feeling he knows what MOST people must think when they hear that term. But, it's just a part of who he is and he can't exactly lie about his parentage.]
Ah...yeah. Do they have Greek or Roman mythology where you're from?
[This might get difficult to explain otherwise.]

Ah...hello, Midoriya! [It's time to put on her best cheer! She's not sure which name to call him at all, but she'll try the more polite route.] I'm Rebecca. How old are you? You look like you're my age.
[And that's a plus in her book! She likes being around people her age, there were so many adults in her army.]
Re: [video]
H-Hi! [His voice totally didn't just crack right then, you're imagining things.] I'm, um, fifteen.
[Let's just say the fact that he was able to say coherent words while attempting to talk to a pretty girl his age is something of a minor miracle.]
[He seems a little uneasy still. Poor guy.]
You said your nickname is Deku, right? What's that mean?

I was, um. Trying to pump myself up.

Hey, don't worry. I get up around that time anyway. [Generally an hour later, but hey. The guy seemed nervous. Jason might rib him about it more if he didn't seem like one of those little mexican purse dogs.] I think everyone can understand being a little nervous in a new place.
I'm Jason. Amp when we're in costume, I guess. And, hey, don't worry about being inexperienced or anything. Most of us are teenagers, it's not like anyone our age has a ton of hero experience, right? [Well, some people, like Gwen... Or, hey. Himself. But they kind of threw off the bell curve. That wasn't important now, though. Getting this guy to chill was.] What do you do?

[ Now he has no reason to feel bad about his early morning shouting. Because she's probably yelling louder now than he was. But more people around her and Dipper's age? It's exciting.
She also laughs and waves off his last comment. ]
You're older than me and my brother! And we didn't go to super hero school. I bet you'll be fine!

Inhale.

[Just as he says that he starts hacking and wheezing, having accidentally gotten some spit down the wrong pipe from being so wound up.]
[It goes on for a good minute or so before he manages to get it under control before replying weakly.]
I-I'm okay.

For someone coming from a super hero high school, you're way too nervous about joining the Legion.
Relax, kid. You've probably got more experience than half of us.

And, I mean, let's be honest. Being told they want you to fight a universe-eating monster isn't exactly a great way to de-stress.
