Have any of you ever fought a dragon before?

[Rebecca’s face graces the network for the first time, eyes bright even if she looks a little uncertain. Starting off like that...it’s bound to get SOMEONE’s attention, isn’t it?]

Ah—I’m Rebecca, by the way. I’ve never...what’s the word...video'd myself for anyone before. But I’ve been thinking about it, and I was wondering if anyone here had. You see, before I came here, my company and I were headed to a place called Dragon’s Gate. A wicked man is attempting to summon dragons to our world, and I really don't feel like I need to get started on why that would be horrible.

[She closes her eyes for a second—takes a deep breath, calms down before smiling again.]

So I was thinking...if I returned home...maybe there’d be some knowledge from here I can bring back to them, right? I can’t say we’ll face a dragon for certain, and we have the legendary weapons...but any knowledge would be helpful, I think! Just please keep in mind that where I come from...Elibe...the world isn’t anything like this one at all. We don't have 'electricity' and we bathe with water warmed with fire. Most of us live in villages or hamlets, and our biggest buildings are castles, not skyscrapers.

[Did she accidentally describe that she’s obviously from a JRPG? No, of course not.]

So...does anyone have any advice? It’d mean a lot to me, really! And I'd like to speak to more of you as well, I really shouldn't have put this off.

[ Thankfully, Ina's gotten a bit more used to things since her arrival. Used enough to not hold the omnicom right up to her face and yell into it, at least. She...almost seems to have an idea of how to point the thing and get a decent picture, in fact.

Almost.

So she's got it far enough back to capture a bit of the place behind her, which is definitely not Legion World. Some might recognize it as the Hall of Justice museum, if they've been there; it seems she's decided to take a trip down to Earth for the day. ]

I have a request. It's my understanding that some of you are more...technologically inclined.

[ Polite understatement. ]

I had thought it would be helpful to learn more of the heroes who inspired the Legion, since I have little idea what to expect - and I believe I've found a worthy example to follow, in the one they called Green Arrow.

[ She turns her omnicom to point the camera at a nearby display of a variety of arrows, with holographic footage playing in the background that shows them in action. Smoke arrows that provide a haze to aid in escape or getting a quick hit in that the enemy can't anticipate! Net arrows that explode into a net on impact, entangling the target and keeping them from escaping! Boxing glove arrows that...well, hit things like a boxing glove. For when you don't have a real boxing glove, maybe. ]

My world has no such...variety, beyond fire arrows. What I've brought with me seems rather limited in use, compared to this.

Would anyone have the skill and the willingness to help me replicate these, and perhaps some others?

[ Come on, nerds, one of you must be up to the challenge, right? ]

[A rather awkward and uncomfortable looking 15 year-old boy with extremely unkempt hair comes over the video feed. He's obviously not used to things like this.]

[Namely: Being social in any capacity with people outside his class.]

Uh. H-hello, my name is M-Midoriya Izuku, U.A. Superhero High School class 1-A. Not that, um, not that anyone probably knows what that is, alternate universes and all...

[He catches himself slouching as his words drift off to almost whisper-quiet, his bashful nature getting the better of him. He quickly sits back upright, and speaks louder.]

I've just joined the Legion, and so I'd like to introduce myself. Which I...just did. Right. My, uh, my hero name is Deku, which is also my nickname back home, so feel free to call me that...if you want to, of course...

[Normally, he wouldn't be nearly this flustered, but being told you're going to face an unspeakable evil of cosmic, universe eating proportions can do that to a person.]

A-Anyway! I just want to say, I might be young and inexperienced, but I look forward to working with you all!

[Please, someone tell this child to unclench. At this rate it seems like he might pass out from awkwardness if left to his own devices.]
