[ Grif is in high spirits today. He seems to actually be in one of the training rooms for once, which makes that a lot weirder. ]

Hey guys. There are a bunch of weirdos running around and it's been a while since we talked about powers. So guess what we're going to do today?

[ 'We' because he expects participation, dammit! ]

And because I'm feeling generous, I'll start. Guess who learned a new thing?

[ He points at himself with both thumbs and backs up, revealing a line of targets. He steps back, lines up his shoulder with them, and winds up his arm like a softball pitcher. He doesn't stop. Grif's arm blurs as he speeds up, and finally the force of the moving air is enough to tip over the nearest target. But only the nearest one. He stops, gestures at it with definite pride, and continues. ]

So let's talk about your powers because we already know mine are pretty awesome.

[ Of course they are, Grif. ]

Has anybody else figured out anything cool? And if you're new: I'm Grif and this is basically my job around here. Tell me what you got, because I'm still way disappointed about the lack of eye lasers we got going on on this team. I could read profiles, but who has time for that crap?

If I know you already... I don't know. Injury status report? What did you have for lunch? I'm just bored, okay?

So, you've got all the embarrassing dirt on him, right?

[ Yep. Forgot Dipper exists. ]

Hi Sam, what are your feelings about space romance and marriage?

[ wut ]

An alien girl told me she hated me once but Mom said that means she actually likes me? So space romance is apparently exactly as confusing as it is on Earth, I guess.

You've experienced heartbreak too...

WE HAVE SO MUCH IN COMMON, don't we?

[headinjuries]

I dunno if it was heartbreak? Maybe just kind of heart-minor-pain.

[bleventeen]

It's okay to let it all out, Sam.

[ And only the tiniest of pauses before ]

I know what will cheer you up! Want to go gaze out at the moon chunks with me?

[ Even if it's in little pieces, it's still romantic, right? ]

Flying in space is better than watching it.

[ Said without thinking, because Sam has a lot of Feelings about space and how great space is. ]

Oh, right. Of course!

[ Except she hasn't really done that, so doesn't know if it's really an option. ]

What else is there to do in this place? Y'know, what does everyone do for fun?

[ "Yeah, talk about his interests, that's the way to reel him in. Good job, Mabel! Thanks, Mabel!" ]

Well, the threshold hub means we can pretty much go anywhere, so it's super easy to find a planet that sounds cool and head down for the day.

Also, the TV here is really weird. Like they have shows where you can vote for the ending, and some of the sports are really off the wall, and the news looks more like a talk show?

And sometimes I just head out the airlock and go for a flight, it's kind of a nice way to get away from people.

[bleventeen]

Wait wait wait. HOLD THE PHONE.

[ She picks up the omnicom and laughs at her own joke before getting back to the matter at hand. ]

Can anyone just go space flying?

[headinjuries]

With the stuff they give us, yeah - the flight rings get you around, the transuits handle the life support part.

[bleventeen]

We should so do that! You and me! Together!

[ Nevermind how she isn't good at flying yet. She's pretty much ready to run out the door right now. ]

Have you flown in zero-g yet? It's not too bad to get the hang of, but it's been a while since I learned so I might be forgetting something.

[bleventeen]

No, but my power is a giant hamster ball, and when it rolls fast you get stuck to the side and it's like extra g's. I'm pretty sure that's like astronaut training, so it'll be fine!

[headinjuries]

Okay. I just, uh, definitely don't need the guilt trip of losing somebody else's sister in space.

[bleventeen]

Oh, you won't lose me.

[ THEY COULD TOTALLY HOLD HANDS IN SPACE. ABSOLUTELY. DEFINITELY. ]

[headinjuries]

[ welp. ]

Okay. You know where the hangar is?

[bleventeen]

I do!!

[ Thankfully, she spent some time wandering all over the place. ]

I'll be there in a few minutes!

[ She's already rushing for the door and the video is just a blur. ]
