[ Grif is in high spirits today. He seems to actually be in one of the training rooms for once, which makes that a lot weirder. ]

Hey guys. There are a bunch of weirdos running around and it's been a while since we talked about powers. So guess what we're going to do today?

[ 'We' because he expects participation, dammit! ]

And because I'm feeling generous, I'll start. Guess who learned a new thing?

[ He points at himself with both thumbs and backs up, revealing a line of targets. He steps back, lines up his shoulder with them, and winds up his arm like a softball pitcher. He doesn't stop. Grif's arm blurs as he speeds up, and finally the force of the moving air is enough to tip over the nearest target. But only the nearest one. He stops, gestures at it with definite pride, and continues. ]

So let's talk about your powers because we already know mine are pretty awesome.

[ Of course they are, Grif. ]

Has anybody else figured out anything cool? And if you're new: I'm Grif and this is basically my job around here. Tell me what you got, because I'm still way disappointed about the lack of eye lasers we got going on on this team. I could read profiles, but who has time for that crap?

If I know you already... I don't know. Injury status report? What did you have for lunch? I'm just bored, okay?

I'm also wondering what's taking up so much of your free time that you can't read a dossier.

[ Someone here has been doing investigatory work lately and someone else has not, and the former is suitably unimpressed with the latter. ]

[ The picture on Ina's omnicom is zoomed in too close for comfort, like she's holding it right up to her face, and she's speaking a bit loudly. Are people really going to hear her through this thing? ]

Chief, I have like a thousand years of TV to catch up on and I'm running a really grueling schedule on that.

[Azula knows what this "Omnicom" is supposed to do but it is still strange to see it in action. She isn't sure yet if she likes it or not, though certainly she can see its uses.]

Are we supposed to be impressed that you created a little wind? Airbender children can do as much.

[Or so she assumed. There was a lack of airbender children around to prove or disprove the theory.]

Sometimes he just....crashes inelegantly through things instead...okay, more than just sometimes, honestly. ]

[ He smirks because he thinks he's clever. Grif why. ]

I know! I mean, it's not super punching or invisibility, but it has a lot of practical applications.

[ He's nosy, he just is. He doesn't comment on her ears for the moment, because compared to some of the sentients he's gotten used to lately they're pretty baseline. ]

[He twists his fingers and a small glowing orb flashes in his fingers. He tosses it behind him and after a few seconds it explodes in a flurry of papers. Were they important? Trash? Who cares.

He's totally watching to see who's impressed.]

[ The 'those' isn't with any animosity, but there's some clear sudden understanding here. ]
