I would love to say that I'm shocked to be here and all those platitudes about trying to adjust, but really, this makes about as much sense as anything else that's happened to me in the last few years.

Zombie apocalypse, insane hippies with mind-control rays, people growing lizard scales... superheroes and alternate realities seems like the next logical step, as far as logic has anything to do with it.

[He takes a long drink of his coffee.]

Hm. [She thought for a moment.] Idiocy aside, was the theme park already in existence before the zombie apocalypse began?

You'd think that would make more sense, but no. It was set up quite a while into the apocalypse. In some fancy old stately home that apparently belonged to a sorceror.

Of course, there are sorcerers. It couldn't just be science zombies, could it.

Oh, we haven't even got to the ancient viking zombies yet. Nasty ones those are. Pretty much indestructible.

[She raised an eyebrow.]

Fair enough. Wouldn't have believed most of this stuff before it happened. Things went a little crazy post-apocalypse.

[There was a pause as she put her hand to her chin for a moment in thought.]

Are you certain they weren't just zombies someone dressed to look like vikings? It seems like something someone would do for amusement, given you do have that zombie carnival...

I mean, I wouldn't actually rule it out except they are a real pain to kill. Can't just headshot them, you have to basically grind them to dust or they just keep coming.

Things that do not die when you shoot them in the head are problematic.

[Very problematic. Her bread and butter were headshots. Maybe they just needed to be shot in the head with explosive rounds.]

...yes. Yes I suppose they are. [Remind him not to piss her off. He doesn't want to have to regrow an entire face. Again.]

[She is silent for a few moments, turning over different possible solutions to that problem, before she let out a small sigh. This would be something to tackle if such a thing came to pass. Instead:]

[Peter smiles at her and ducks his head in a nod.]

Not so mindlessly as you think. Viking zombie nonsense aside, your tales are entertaining.
