Electricity. Hot running water. Coffee. As much alcohol as I can imbibe. It's delightful.

I would love to say that I'm shocked to be here and all those platitudes about trying to adjust, but really, this makes about as much sense as anything else that's happened to me in the last few years.

Zombie apocalypse, insane hippies with mind-control rays, people growing lizard scales... superheroes and alternate realities seems like the next logical step, as far as logic has anything to do with it.

And that... that is a tricky question when he feels like he should be attempting to be some sort of good role model. He's never been a good role model in his life.]

Is that because you lost the water and electricity or did they just not have it? And I... don't think this place really has the equipment I would need to do my performance. It was incredibly tacky anyway.

I think most people from the Earth's past who come here are still from my future. We just didn't have it yet.

If it was tacky, how did it entertain people?

[Is this guy just being humble or . . . ? People surely wouldn't watch a performance that wasn't worth watching, so Kubo assumes. Mostly because he still hasn't watched a lot of future TV, and the Legionnaire Legacies hardly count as actual entertainment . . .]

[That's debatable. Peter didn't exactly grow up knowing his father, and his nan who raised him was... well... those are Issues for another day.]

And it was... people have odd tastes. The apocalypse is not really replete with entertainment so anything that breaks the monotony is rather nice.

What happened to your world? The apocalypse - doesn't that mean the world ending?

It is, but I haven't had it in a long time.

There was a disease. It killed most of the population of the world. And once you're infect and die, you come back all grey and bitey and try to eat the people still living. Which passes on the infection.
