AUDIO: Whoops.
[Whoops. That'd been a thing for a while.
His voice snaps onto the omnicomm, filled with good humor. Jason's still not comfortable with the omnicomm's video function, especially since he's still having to dot his face with anti-fungal cream.]
I'm gonna start this off with a warning. Doublecheck to be sure that the mail you're opening is actually yours. I had to figure that out when I accidentally picked up something meant for Brainiac 5. The good news is that I'm now out of quarantine and the med techs are pretty sure I'm not going to grow any more mushrooms.
Thanks, guys. I don't know if I can look at a pizza the same way again, though.
[He'd spent most of the past few weeks trying to learn the Interlac alphabet on his own, without the earpieces translating for him. Might keep those mix-ups from happening again.
His voice takes on a wry tone, almost apologetic.]
So it sounds like I missed some action and a few new romances. Sorry about that, gang. For the new guys I missed, hey. I'm Jason, from Angel Grove, California, and I don't really do anything exciting. Nice to meet you all.

Mushrooms. It was gross.
I opened it up and there was just this cloud. A few minutes later and I was itching pretty bad. Those sonic showers didn't work so I headed on to Medical and I was sprouting before I even got there.
So yeah. It blowed.

no trauma, even?

[Jason's lived a fairly sheltered life in some regards.]
Wouldn't be the weirdest thing that's ever happened to me. Not going to lie though, I had a pretty big freak out when it first happened, but I've had two months help me relax and get over things.
[Two months is an eternity when you're young and restless.]

so what is the weirdest thing that actually happened to you?
no subject
I was gonna go with the evil pig thing, but that wasn't quite as weird I guess. This one time, we were hosting a big festival to thank the Power Rangers for protecting our city when this evil space witch, Rita Repulsa, teleported the entire city into another dimension to hold us hostage.
That's the best I've got.

must've been a pretty bad day for her.
no subject
I'd call it a pretty bad day for her, yeah. We haven't had a whole lot of monster activity since then, so maybe the Rangers finally beat her.
[Pretty unlikely, though. It did feel pretty final though, the way Zordon was talking.]

seriously, that's rule #1

is there? like, any wood at all in here?
no subject
There's got yo be real trees, though. How else are we going to get oxygen?

[Come on, people.]

[He did keep hearing about the dangers of deforestation and all, after all.]

make planets automatically livable with science?
[that's not how any of this works, gwen.]

That's why there is currently an immigration problem on several worlds. The planet Xanthu was rendered nearly uninhabitable due to Robotica devastating it while they were being controlled by a homicidal AI.
[He'll just leave out that that AI was his son, for right now.]
The UP is currently terraforming the planet to render it habitable again but the process may take several years, which means the Xanthan diaspora are without a world until the process is finished.
It's much more beneficial to preserve a planet's ecological systems than it is to terraform it. Fixing something that's broken is always more difficult than preventing it from being broken in the first place.

but we're good, now.]
oh, okay. yeah I guess that makes sense.
