He's harmless unless challenged, which includes any kind of competition right down to tic-tac-toe. You want to try to hang out, either feed him or keep the games collaborative.

Food, collaborative activities, how's he holding up? Soldiers don't do well getting transplanted, kids don't either.

He needs a CO, even if it's not official. I might try to draft Rider or one of the other actual military officers kicking around here. You can probably pass as a mid-grade NCO, but PFL didn't teach any of you how to lead so that's not going to work long-term.

Could we spin 'lent out to a civilian run organization' and 'getting to know his teammates' as an assignment? Because neither of those are untrue.

Actually, I'm just going to tell him there's a temporal anomaly that researchers are working to resolve and that he's on leave. It's only the "on leave" part I'm worried about.

Organize the leave time. Give him a rough schedule like he'd have back home; coupla guys in my squad had a hard time relaxing when they got the chance. Organizing shit made it feel easier for them.

0830-0900: Nervous breakdown over enforced idleness

He'll see through busywork, but I might be able to throw together something that'll hold his attention.

When in doubt: Training sim. He'll have to learn how to fly, that'll buy you some time.

I don't think you really appreciate how quickly Spartans learn.

Five minutes of him figuring shit out is five more minutes you've got to think- and you can come up with a lot in five minutes.

He'll cheerfully run combat sims 'til he drops. The problem is putting together a fireteam that can keep up with him. Shame Namorita's gone. Her tactics were terrible but I'm not sure she understood the concept of fatigue.

Arranging playdates for a supersoldier- this is not how I thought my day would go.
