[ There's a perplexed looking young man in view of the screen. Anyone familiar with Locus will probably recognize him, but something's definitely different. That tell-tale x-shaped scar? Gone. His hair is shorter, hanging just below his jaw. Moreover, his eyes don't quite hold that thousand-yard-stare to them just yet.

He looks, well. Teenaged.

He's also holding Luna up to view. She's purring heavily, but he appears bewildered by her presence, if anything. ]

Does anyone know whose cat this is? I just...found her here when I woke up.

Tucker. [There was a pause, before--] Chick Magnet. Either works.

[Moment of truth.]

Chick Magnet? Really?

[ One large eyebrow crooks higher before he shakes his head. Whatever works for you, buddy. ]

Sam. Just Sam.

Yeah, dude, Chick Magnet. It's a great name!

[But Tucker fell quiet for a minute and yeah, he had seen the info show Wash had given him as "homework", Legionnaire Legacies or whatever, the history lesson he didn't want because it made someone almost sympathetic. Fuck. They had said his last name, too--]

What's your last name, Sam?

[But Tucker knew, knew why the guy kinda vaguely looked familiar, knew he should drop this now and just walk the fuck away. Dammit.]

[ His brow scrunches. ]

[Of fucking course it is.

Tucker didn't say anything for a long time, didn't know what to say when so many fucking things were bubbling under the surface. The anger boiled underneath, the frustration of everything, and when he finally opened his mouth, the only thing that came out was--]

[The tone was just anger, the words stupid, and he'd kick himself later for it. Either way, he ended the connection because he couldn't fucking do it. He just...couldn't. Not yet. Not like this.]

[ But Tucker's already hung up. He's. Not sure what to do about that. Something anxious gnaws in his stomach, and he glances to Luna quizzically. ]

What do you think he meant by that?

[ She murrs at him, before tucking her head under his jaw. It doesn't appear to matter to her. ]
