[The video snaps into focus instantly, giving everyone a good look at Blue Rose chatting with a technician about adjustments to something in her hab. Given the half-finished look of the place, she's strutting through while everyone's still hard at work, making sure everything's just how she wants it. Better to do it now while they're there, after all. She beams at the camera for a moment.]

Hello, everyone! You'd think there'd be some kind of ceremony with a meeting or something. [Oh well.] I'm told this is probably where I'll be staying for the next few weeks until we've wrapped up this whole Chronoblivion situation, so I thought I'd extend a hand and introduce myself to everyone. Obviously I'm one of the newer arrivals. You can call me Blue Rose, or maybe Karina if I'm out of costume. One or the other, please. [She's well aware that there are some cultural difference here, but you've got to draw the line somewhere. She turns to a worker and waggles her fingers.] The softer yellow. The other shade would glare a bit, don't you think? Oh, you don't see the color? Well. Ah. Take my word for it. [She coughs and turns back.]

It's a pleasure to meet all of you! Really, it is. I don't think I've ever worked with so many NEXTs at once! It's kind of exciting. Anyway, why don't I talk a little about myself? Let's see, I'm eighteen years old. I've been a Hero with Titan Industries for almost four years now. I understand that's longer than a few of you, but I'm always willing to lend an ear if you've got any problems. [As long as they're not stupid problems.] I'm an elemental-type NEXT, I can make ice. I'd offer a demonstration, but I'd hate to interrupt the workers here by making a mess. So something small. [She holds up a hand and her eyes glow blue, with an accompanying aura. Slowly, a frosty rose forms between her fingers.] Tada!

Anyway, in addition to being a hero, I'm also an idol! I was looking forward to releasing my third album soon, but I think that's been put on hold. I don't think that will mean much here, though. Even if it wasn't another universe, a thousand years is a long time for music to remain popular, isn't it? Maybe I'll work on something new in my free time. [She turns away again when someone asks her something. She shakes her head, handing them the rose.] No, just a normal piano. I don't know how to work that one! Oh, just give me both, I'll learn that new one. Oh, can you add some cameras? I might start a new blog, and showing people how I work would be good. [And then she's back like she wasn't interrupted.]

Well, that's probably enough about me. If you've got any questions, feel free to ask! But, really, I'd rather hear about you all right now. Why don't you introduce yourselves?

Ah! One of those, eh?

[Like Barnaby. Well, hopefully she was friendlier. And could stand up to the mental pressure of being 'on' every time they're in public. Karina's already mentally writing her off as someone to be seen with outside of her costume.]

Nice to meet you. What do you do, if you don't mind my asking?

I'm on a super-team, naturally. Also college, and I was running my cousin's corporation for a while there. And gotta save time for partying, of course!

[Her brain catches up and she laughs at herself.]

Oh, wait, you mean powers.

[Nita holds up one arm in the trans-universal "check out my biceps" pose. Regardless of the art in a lot of my icons, she does have the body of a world-class athlete.]

Strength, stamina, and durability, mostly. I'm a bit faster and more dexterous than a normal human, too, but nothing special. Back home I can fly, but for some reason it doesn't work in this universe so I'm stuck with the ring.

[Which is actually way better than her native flight but it's the principle of the thing.]

[Ah, a corporate owner like Nathan. It must be nice to make your own hours. Karina's almost jealous for a moment.]

A power-type, then? Those are always useful to have around.

[And usually not too much competition, either. At least, not in the powers department. Nita's friendly enough, though.]

I've never been able to fly before. I have to admit, it's interesting! I can see why Sky High risks the jetpack.

[She'd be too worried about toasting her buns or setting the flaps on that jacket of his on fire to wear it for long.]

[She has neglected to mention the waterbreathing or the royalty parts, but she doesn't regard those as a power or remarkable, respectively.]

"Power-type?"

[This all sounds way more formalized that she's willing to bother with.]

Honestly, if there are classifications like that back home, I never paid attention. Vance would know.

[She shrugs, not caring what SHIELD or whoever has on her.]

[Well, she can't have many more powers if that's all she listed! It's not like her cousin's ever blown himself up or generated electric currents or...]

You know.

[Rose mimics Nita's gesture. The result isn't quite as impressive. There's some muscle there, sure, but she's a little closer to Dazzler than the She-Mariner on the fitness scale.]

Strong. Tough. That sort of thing. Honestly, I'd be surprised if anyone with a NEXT population didn't have some way to categorize people by powers.

[God bless Namor's stupid Silver Age powers.]

Oh, there's probably some official classification system in a SHIELD database somewhere.

[About which she is neither concerned nor curious, if her tone and expression are anything to go by.]

Who really cares besides governments, anyway?

[She is technically a government official. No one remind her.]

The people who collect our trading cards, of course!

Trading...cards?

[Well that sounds horrific.]

[She pauses and pats herself down for a moment.]

Hold on.

[She sets the omnicomm down and wanders off for a moment. Some workers take the chance to start screwing wall-plates on until she gets back. When she does, she holds up a little card.]

Trading cards. You know, for Hero fans to buy and trade?

[Nita looks like someone who is trying very hard to think of something nice to say about someone's ugly baby pictures.]

We don't really have anything that. Organized.

[The Fantastic Four have a gift shop but that's not really the same.]

[She flips it over, skimming it, then tsks.]

If I'd known I'd be hopping between dimensions, I would have carried a few of my own to get copies made. Wild Tiger's old card is... Well. Eh.

[Despite her tone, she puts it down very carefully off-camera.]

When you say you don't have anything that organized, are you talking here or back where you're from?

I mean my universe. This one? Uh, they might go for it.

[She finds the anonmeme a little unsettlingly...blatant.]

[She arches an eyebrow.]

Not a fan of the fans?

It's not like it's a game.

[Despite her bubbly, irreverent personality, Nita does the superhero thing because she feels a sense of responsibility to use her abilities to protect people who can't protect themselves.

Fun fact: She agreed to be on Robbie's show because Atlantis was stifling her, not because she wanted to be on TV.]

Just because it's a serious business, it doesn't mean that there's nothing to enjoy.

[Come on, who can stand in front of a crowd, an entire city, screaming their name and not feel like queen of the world?]

[Turns out being actualfax royalty and having responsibilities takes the shine off the concept real quick.]

Paparazzi chasing you in helicopters is not enjoyable. At least, not if you care about anyone's safety.

This is why most heroes have a secret identity.

[Bringing them right back around to the start of their conversation.]

...Wait a minute, didn't you say you could fly? Why would you need a helicopter?

I wasn't in the helicopter, the photographers were.

[Dangerous! For them. New York has some tight corners.]

...Plus I usually use a plane or something for long distances.

Oh! I probably should have thought of that.

[The thought that there might be rules against flying in the city like that doesn't come. She's used to helicopters zipping above.]

So if you were to go home tomorrow, would you go back to flying normally or keep using this ring of the Legion's?

Oh, I'd give the ring to Dr. Richards so he could study it.

[She still hasn't figured out that Reed Richards Is Useless.]

Kinda selfish to hold onto it if someone could figure out the technology and make more of them.

I think I'd hold on to mine. It would be a nice advantage to have, and I'm not sure that any scientist I could give it to would keep everything secure.

[Crooks with jetpacks are bad enough. Add in flight rings...]

Well, fliers and flight gear are pretty common where I'm from. The rings are cool and all, but it's not like they'd be a game-changer. If supervillains suddenly showed up wearing them, Dr. Richards and Mr. Stark would just make a bunch for the good guys.

[She's from the era when everyone still liked each other.]

Not where I'm from. Honestly, it would probably be a nightmare to regulate. Sternbild is built in three different layers, and having a bunch of people just swooping around when there's a ceiling to look up at seems like trouble.

[What is this "regulation" of which you speak.]

Kinda getting the feeling our universes just aren't that similar.

Yeah, it just sounds like a culture difference to me. Still, it's interesting to meet someone who sees things differently.
