Hello, it's been a while. My name is Miku Hinasaki, or Recall... I guess is the name for the Legion rosters... ah, and I'm back here again.

[Behind her, something opens up and a 20th century can opener falls out at high speed. Miku winces, but then smiles and continues.] I also seemed to have traded one ability for another, but... I'll try to keep it under good control.

[... ... ...was that a pair of ice cube trays that just crashed into her very pink couch?] Very good control.

I look forward to seeing some of you again and meeting as many new faces as possible.

[ hi, miku, have a concerned-looking giant robot, although the giant part might be hard to tell from the video. ]

Is that supposed to happen?

[ admittedly he still does not 100% understand how humans and powers work, because they don't exactly have those where he's from. ]

[A small chicken screams by. At least, it looks like a chicken. But the noise it is making is definitely not a normal chicken noise. Doppler effect is wild.]

[Miku is just going to pretend this new, randomized ability is perfectly normal and Working As Intended.]

[auramatic]

[ drift does not know what a chicken is, but that sound is very alarming. drift looks alarmed. ]

Uh. That?

Oh! [A long Pause.] That. Ah...

[She vanishes off-camera for just a moment, and comes back with a chicken toy.] Just a toy. A... very... very strange toy.

[auramatic]

[ he still seems just a bit Concerned. there is a long awkward, awkward pause. ]

So! Miku, right? I'm Drift. I arrived just a little ahead of you.

[ghost_bait]

[Miku holds the record for long awkward, awkward staring contests, which is what this quickly devolves into once Drift and Miku lock eyes (visors? what do you call a Gundam's eyes?). When he speaks, she blinks with relief.]

Yes, it's very nice to meet you, and I look forward to working with you. [She stops to give him a short bow, and forgets for a moment that the chicken is still in her hand. It gives out a strangled, low, awful screech before she drops it on the ground and kicks it under her desk. Everything is fine.] It is a bit to get used to everything here, but I liked it when I was here before.

[auramatic]

[ drift cringes a little at the awful chicken noise. humans have really, really weird taste in toys. but he smiles brightly at her anyway. ]

It's nice to meet you too, Miku. [ he pauses, looking a little puzzled. ] So you were here before, and you left? Where did you go, exactly?

Home, for a few months.

[auramatic]

[ drift perks up at that. ]

Back to your world? Really? [ he frowns slightly. ] But you didn't stay.

[ghost_bait]

No, I didn't. [Miku smiles at him, as though trying to reassure the gundam go-bot robot? Cybertonian.] But it's not anything to be sad about, really. Where I'm from is a bit scarier than here, so this is...

[Miku has to think about it a moment, pursing her lips in thought.] It's nice here, or at least, nice-in-a-different-way.

[auramatic]

[ scarier than here? well, drift supposes that legion world is pretty pleasant in itself, if you're not thinking about the whole looming potential multiuniversal cataclysm. ]

Mind if I ask what makes it so scary?

[ghost_bait]

Oh... ah...

[Miku's smile looks a little pained.] Well, there are ghosts, and other unpleasantness. This is far more acceptable.

[auramatic]

Ghosts? Like spirits?

[ he's not trying to be insensitive, but he is really curious. proof of life after death, or anything like it...that would be kind of a big deal. ]

[ghost_bait]

[Miku looks down for a moment, as if trying to figure out how to answer this without sounding like a crazy person. Eventually, though, she just nods once.] Usually, it's people who have been mistreated or harmed before death that leaves them with a grudge.

[Her voice is very small.] It is very unpleasant.

[Sean spends about ten minutes fretting about how to respond before he actually does so. He double checks his cap is in place, turns it half an inch to the right, then turns on his camera.]

Yo! It's a, uh, pleasure to make a pretty girl's acquaintance. I'm Dark Smoke Puncher.

[The ninja is wearing a baseball cap. While she knows better than to assume, there is a little part of her expression that seemed genuinely surprised.]

[Maybe she's using a filter, but there are definitely snowflakes fluttering into the view.]

[Have a familiar face, Miku. Tadashi is happy to see his buddy again, and looks it.]

Long time no see! At least on my end. How have you been doing?

It's been a little while for me, too. Ah... goodness, I don't even know where to begin! Ah... [She laughs softly.] It might be a little long to explain here. But, I suppose the short version would be: Things Happened, but it's fine now.

[Miku looks over his face and tilts her head, considering him. There is relief in her expression.] I'd like to see you, ah, in the flesh, so to speak. If that's fine with you, I mean!
