Why Applied Violence?

Because most of these people only know how to fight and kill or fight for self defense, not fight to put criminals down and detain them. The Legion's hand to hand combat courses are fine for the basics of one-on-one, but I felt that there were valuable lessons not being learned.

Besides, I already knew to break a man's kneecaps if he was trying to loom over me when I was fourteen. Some of these kids make a woman with the future of the race at heart despair.

Under different circumstances, that could be seen as something to be thankful for. The life of a soldier can be far too unforgiving. But we don't have that luxury. Not while we're here.
