It's not that complicated. Coluans have multiple simultaneous thought tracks that can be all be dedicated to one train of thought or problem at once, or focused on multiple subjects simultaneously. I have more than the usual Coluan.

Most of my brain is in what would be equivalent to a human REM cycle right now. Only this part of it is still awake. I'll let it sleep after waking up my other steams of consciousness after they've gotten adequate rest.
