Hello, everyone. Um-

[The boy looks awkward for only a second, before rallying.]

My name is Kubo, and I'm a storyteller.

Some of you have heard a few of my stories already, in the cafeteria or ... Because we've talked, but I just wanted to -

[This is less rehearsed than his performances are, and it shows - that Kubo is uncomfortable shows, not in front of the camera, but uncomfortable about something.]

We all heard the news. That they're going to look into our pasts, and show our stories. We know from the parts of your stories they've already shown, that they don't exactly care about telling the whole tale.

[Hello, Murderworld? What kind of disservice were those clips?]

I don't like that. So whatever part of my story they plan on showing -

[His discomfort overtakes him for a moment. What are they going to show? His parents' deaths? Him killing his aunt? Are they going to make him see Mother and Father at the heartbreaking end of their lives, the end he lead them to, again?

He returns his gaze to the camera, determined.]

I'm going to tell everyone the whole thing first.

So please come to the cafeteria in five day's time! I'll be rehearsing hard to give you a great show.

[And because he needs those five days to actually get all the parts of this story in order.]

If I haven't met you yet, I hope to meet you there.

[The next message is privately sent to Dave. Kubo continues look determined.]

Dave, I'd like to ask you a favor. Since you know more about machines and sharing recordings and pictures than I do.

Recording equipment. Camera, microphone, that sorta stuff. Maybe whatever kind of computers they have these days, since I dunno how much I can do with just one of these handheld things. Mixing equipment if I can get my hands on it. Not stuff we're gonna just find laying around, though. We'll probably have to ask some of the local techies for help.
