Hello, everyone. Um-
[The boy looks awkward for only a second, before rallying.]
My name is Kubo, and I'm a storyteller.
Some of you have heard a few of my stories already, in the cafeteria or ... Because we've talked, but I just wanted to -
[This is less rehearsed than his performances are, and it shows - that Kubo is uncomfortable shows, not in front of the camera, but uncomfortable about something.]
We all heard the news. That they're going to look into our pasts, and show our stories. We know from the parts of your stories they've already shown, that they don't exactly care about telling the whole tale.
[Hello, Murderworld? What kind of disservice were those clips?]
I don't like that. So whatever part of my story they plan on showing -
[His discomfort overtakes him for a moment. What are they going to show? His parents' deaths? Him killing his aunt? Are they going to make him see Mother and Father at the heartbreaking end of their lives, the end he lead them to, again?
He returns his gaze to the camera, determined.]
I'm going to tell everyone the whole thing first.
So please come to the cafeteria in five day's time! I'll be rehearsing hard to give you a great show.
[And because he needs those five days to actually get all the parts of this story in order.]
If I haven't met you yet, I hope to meet you there.
[The next message is privately sent to Dave. Kubo continues look determined.]
Dave, I'd like to ask you a favor. Since you know more about machines and sharing recordings and pictures than I do.

Fuck yeah, I know a thing or two about gettin' shit to go viral online. We'd just need to see about getting some equipment.

What kind of equipment? I don't know what to look for, but if you do, I'll help you look for it.

Would you share a meal with me? Tomorrow evening?
[He knows he could get absorbed by this project. Having a reminder to eat will help.]

Of course.
[He's also going to make sure Kubo eats breakfast and lunch tomorrow. Between checking in on Dipper and Mabel and keeping an eye on Kubo, Wash has gotten pretty good at the whole Make Sure The Kids Eat aspect of dad-ing.]

I hope you'll come to my show, too. It will be a really good one. I'll make sure of it.
