So um... I've been thinking about this for a while. Ever since we left Harrub, actually...

[ He grimaced a bit, pausing for a couple of seconds. Glancing off to the side, before taking a breath, and addressing the camera again. ]

But um, after the whole Murderworld thing... it's kind of become clear that some of us aren't... handling things that well... [ He was thinking about Videl specifically, but the anon meme has also made it clear Videl wasn't the only one. ] I know we all took the oath for various reasons, and we probably all expected different things out of becoming a superhero. But um, some of us probably didn't expect this... so...

... With the whole "Legionnaire Legacies" thing coming around the corner, I think we should... [ Another pause, as he tries to figure out how to phrase this. ] ... um... I guess, share our lives with each other? To make sure we're prepared, in case... in case the news digs up stuff about us, and tries to drag us through the mud with it.

[ This is so weird and strange and against everything Gohan knows. He's usually the most secretive person in the world, but... he's kind of had to cope with having an open identity, so might as well go all in. ]

I guess um, I should go first? My name's Gohan, and... if you have any personal questions for me, I'll be happy to answer them...

Hi Gohan. My name is Kubo. I'm a storyteller. And my story's too long to tell here, but I plan on telling it in full before someone else looks in on parts of it.

So come to the cafeteria five days from now! I mean ... I'm still happy to meet you before that, but I need those five days to rehearse.

Oh, um... nice to meet you, Kubo! [ He waves awkwardly, mostly because this was a lot more chipper than he expected. ] What uh... what kind of storyteller are you?

[He's making the best of a bad situation. It's not ideal to be under this pressure to tell his whole story at once, but he will absolutely take ownership of it before someone else tries.]

Back home, I told stories for a living. Mostly about mighty warriors and monsters, quests and vengeance. Some of them are from my great adventure, but I started learning more from travelers in the last two years. Legends and family histories and stories people told their children, things like that.

The stories about my father's quests are still my favorites, but people like variety. And I guess I like it, too.

[He'd rather have MORE of his father's stories to tell, but his father will never make another story to be told. Again, he has to make the best of that situation. And variety really isn't anything to sneer at.]

Oh, that's... actually kind of interesting! [ And he means that. The book nerd part of him is intrigued. ] I've never really had to think about how to tell stories... I mean, I share stories with my little brother, but that's not... really something I do for a living...

[bachido]

My mother shared stories with me, and I shared them with the villagers outside our cave. Mother was ill most of my life with her, so I had to earn money for our food, but I'd have told stories even if we didn't need the money.

[This is all stuff he's working out how to cover in his big upcoming show, but there's no reason to hold back all the details before the performance. He ought to let people know a little of what to expect.]

They were good stories, and people liked them. I liked telling them.

It helps that I have magic that lets me use paper to show the stories as I tell them. People like that a lot, too.

How was it growing up with a brother? I don't have any brothers or sisters.

Speaking of, I think I'm actually going to take you up on helping me tell mine.

[bachido]

I'd be happy to do that. You have a really good story to tell.

Can we start working on it after I perform mine? I know it's a while to ask you to wait, but I need that time to get all the pieces of my story in order. Some of the pieces are hard to tell.
