I have to say, all the many downsides aside? This is pretty cool. We're basically in the Star Trek future. With aliens!  I mean, I've met an alien before, in a different universe, but she did look fairly human. Aside from the whole faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to fly thing she had.

Anyways, hi. [He gives a little wave.] My name's Barry Allen, and I'm the Flash.  Not this universe's version of the Flash, though. I'm from a different one entirely. It's similar, but they showed me a couple pictures of the one from this reality and he wore a lot more spandex than I'm entirely comfortable with.

Getting off of that, it's nice to meet you guys, and I look forward to working with all of you.

From what I heard, it didn't. I don't have any explanation for why anyone thought it was a good idea to name it that way in the first place, though.

Still, not quite as weird as knowing that a couple of good friends of mine are from a reality where Beyoncé became a senator.

That...[He thinks about it for a second and shakes his head in a combination of disbelief and resignation.]...well I guess that's actually not so bad. Just...unexpected.

It's one thing dealing with realities that are very different, like where we are now, but I'm not sure what I would do if I was suddenly confronted with a different version of my friends. It seems like it'd be weird.

More than a little. My foster dad Joe is a cop, and my girlfriend Iris is a reporter. On the Earth where Senator Knowles is a thing? Iris is the cop and Joe is a lounge singer.

My life became almost infinitely stranger when I got my powers, and it hasn't shown any signs of letting up any time soon.

[Jason's parents are a little more difficult to flip careers in his head--but he tries to imagine alternate worlds where maybe some of the demigods he knew had different parents or where the gods themselves had different lots in life. After all, the realms of Jupiter, Neptune, and Pluto had been decided in what was essentially drawing straws. That train of thought was truly strange and he shook his head to dismiss it.] Yeah...I bet.

I never really imagined my life could get much weirder than what it was back home, but this place has been continually proving it wrong ever since just being pulled in to this whole thing in the first place. Though...I guess after awhile you start to accept it. I mean, demigod children are always being pulled into quests and battles to prevent the world from ending. The fact that I've graduated to being tasked with saving multiple worlds now shouldn't be that big of a surprise.

Which god is your parent? Or is that a rude thing to ask?

It's really not as awesome as it sounds, but yeah, I'm a demigod or halfblood.

That's a pretty normal question. It's Jupiter or Zeus if you're more familiar with the Greek version. Though I've only ever seen him once.

I'm not exactly an expert on mythology, but from what little I do know? I feel like I should offer condolences about that. Especially if the myths are even remotely accurate.

Hey, we can't choose who we're born to. And if your myths involve a lot of sleeping with mortal women in various forms...then yes they're probably accurate. There's a reason Hera usually has it out for children of Zeus.
