...the Time Trapper really needs to figure out what time he wants to pull me from.
[It's Barry again, in a brighter red suit that most are used to seeing him in. The costume actually veers closer to the one this universe's version of Wally West wore, with the exceptions of the difference in materials and continuing lack of yellow boots.]
Hey everybody. The Trapper apparently decided to drop me off back home for almost eleven months, although I spent six of them trapped in the Speed Force, which I do not recommend doing. In much better news, I'm getting married in a few weeks. Or will be once we finally get Chronoblivion figured out and dealt with, anyways.
Anything interesting happen in the five seconds I was gone?

[ And he's still mad. ]

[ What. ]

[ He should definitely not be so invested in this information. Be cool, Grif. ]
And you guys let him?
[ He is so scandalized. ]

Oh, while I'm thinking about it? I've been carrying something around for you just in case I got pulled back here.
[Barry pulls out a slightly battered wedding invite.]
I'd tell you to Save the Date, but that'd be sort of pointless right now.

[ When was the last time someone invited Grif to a wedding? Like... ever. ]
...Thanks. I'll be there. You know, assuming reality is still in one piece.
Prepare your bar.

[He loves social conversations. The details sustain him. Jovially, he continues:]
I don't have much to report on if it's just been five seconds, but I do have a question for you. What's the Speed Force?

I'm sorry, it's been nearly a year, and I don't think I caught your name the first time. I'm Barry Allen, the Flash.

No need for apologies—I haven't been here for more than a month. I don't expect anyone to know who I am.
[Anyway, that whole alien-dimensional energy business sounds astonishingly creepy, so he's going to pursue a small change in topic.]
So, Barry; by speedster, does that mean you're capable of moving fast?

And you're not really getting just what the Speed Force is like. It's hard to explain to anyone who hasn't been there. But it's existed since the dawn of time and will exist until the end of it. And it sees all of that. From it's perspective I'm the Flash because I will be the Flash because I was the Flash.

[Gaelio's head hurts.]
As far as I know, we don't have anything like that back home . . . but I suppose I understand where you're coming from. [He pauses before squinting, faintly.] Did your body change at all when you received that power?

Also I need to eat a ridiculous amount of food or risk hypoglycemia. Like, several large pizzas in a single sitting amounts of food.

How about on the surface? For instance, your legs . . . do they look the same as before you received your powers?

Truthfully, I'm a little surprised. I thought something this significant would alter our bodies beyond the norm.
