[When Dipper comes on screen he's in the supernatural research room that's attached to the Labs, where various Legionnaires have holed up over time to study the Book of Magic. Ray and Valeria are in there with him, working on the book behind them.]

This is so exciting! Ohmygosh.

Okay, so for anyone that's new, a while ago we had to get the spear of Destiny - like that spear of Destiny, that poked Yahweh-know-who? - to re-imprison the Spectre. Because we were the ones that let him out in the first place to stop this giant planet-eating guy with a stupid hat called Galactus.

Anyway, that's all taken care of, the Spectre's back in his box, but when we went to find the spear we met this guy guarding it that called himself The Wizard - like the Wizard, like he was the most important one or something? - and alongside telling us where the spear was, he gave us this magic book. He promised that if we could unlock its knowledge we might be able to find something to use against Chronoblivion.

We did a lot of research and found out it was legit but it's all wrapped up in codes and spells and riddles. We managed to unlock it enough that Ray was able to use its power to banish Eclipso to the room with a moose dimension, a dimension that's just...a room with a moose. (I don't get it, either). In that fight on Apokolips.

[Dipper rolls his hands around each other to show he's trying to fast forward.]

Anyway, a bunch of us have been working on it for a while and it turns out Gohan decoded some important encryptions before he got zapped home and he never got to tell the rest of us! I was going through his old notes to see if we missed anything and we were able to use it to figure out how to unlock the last spells guarding it. We're unlocking the last of it right now!

Brainiac got help from Sorcerer's World to use those magic artifacts we got from that marriage planet and combined it with technology to shield the research room, so nobody has to worry about any eff --

[Something crackles behind him, where Valeria and Ray are working. Some of Ray's equipment starts making alarming ticking noises. Ray says, "Definitely a sharp uptick in PKE valences...we may want to duck."]

[Dipper turns, yelps, and ducks just in time to avoid magical energy that zaps through the room like lightning. A more subtle wave of magical energy sweeps past after the initial zaps, spreading out all through Legion World. Val, Ray, and Dipper are just fine but frogs start appearing and raining from the ceiling in their research room, and the book floats off the table, completely wrapped up in ethereal glowing golden chains. Other Legionnaires throughout Legion World might also find strange magical effects spreading out all over.]

[ Pretend he's giving directions because lmao idk where his room is. ]

[ So she's going to find her way there, rapping on the door with her staff before stepping back to wait.

What waits for Danny outside his door is a very slight elf woman with tattoos across her brow and across her cheeks, an empty sleeve pinned up against her left side, and a vaguely curious look on her face. ]

Danny?

[ He's gonna need a few seconds to get to the door. Mostly because he has to wade through piles of burgers and wrappers, but also because he ate so many burgers that he doesn't wanna move.

Eventually though, he opens the door. And just stops. And stares. Because there's one thing that becomes incredibly apparent at first glance.

Oh no she's hot. ]

Um... yeah.

Oh good.

[ And the curiosity is replaced by a warm smile. ]

Marjara. It's very nice to finally see you.

[ As she takes note of the burgers overflowing from the space just behind him, her eyebrows lifting, crinkling the detailed pattern inked into her forehead. ]

[ Dammit no he wasn't prepared for this he thought they were just a girl his age or something this isn't fair how is he supposed to deal with this??? ]

Um. Right. Nice to meet you too.

[ He catches that glance, before realizing she's looking at the burgers. Quickly getting out of the room, and closing the door behind him, looking embarrassed as all hell. ]

S-Sorry, my room's uh. My room's a mess, and I--

[ ... Except she came here for the burgers. Which were the mess. Good job. ]

It's alright.

[ She'd raise a hand in placation but...well. She only has the one, and it's holding onto her staff. So she bites her lip. ]

I've seen worse, I promise you. Are we eating out here or...?

No um. We're eating inside. I just... realized how dumb I look right now.

[ Because this is what he's hyperfocused on. How dumb he looks. He opens the door, bracing himself for whatever reaction she's about to have, because suddenly he actually cares about that. ]

So um... normally it's not this messy. But um. Burgers.

Danny, it's alright. I promise you.

[ Though it's sweet, the way he fidgets. Looking so nervous. He's so young, she can't help but think, reminded in a way of some of the teenaged members of clan Lavellan before she left. ]

I stay in a camp out in the woods. I don't have a lot of room to throw stones when it comes to living conditions.

[ That actually gets a chuckle out of him. Not a big one, but maybe enough that he eases up a bit. ]

I've um... I've been camping, a few times, but I dunno if it's the same, really...

[ His parents usually turned it into a high-tech weirdness, so it... probably wasn't. ]

Maybe you could tell me about it over our burgers. We could compare notes.

[ He's trying. Bless him.

There's a small gesture. ]

[ He's trying, he really is. He's trying so hard. ]

R-Right. Burgers. Uh... [ He steps aside, and opens the door fully. Showing her his room, which was... yeah, pretty much full of stacks of fast food burgers in wrappers. ]

I guess, come in?

[ Her eyes widen just a little, but she manages not to react too openly. Instead, she gives him a mildly sympathetic look over her shoulder as she steps in, carefully avoiding stepping on anything.

She's also barefoot, so mind that. ]

I think maybe we should have invited a few more people.

Oh, I'm totally putting the rest of these burgers in my biome's fridge.

[ There's no hesitation as he says that. ]

I've been craving actual burgers for months now, I'm not gonna let 'em go to waste.

[ As he speaks, she kneels down to pick one up, turning it over in her hand.

Then, she rests it on her knee to start unwrapping it. Easier to do that way, with one hand. ]

[ Oh. Right. She... has one arm. Crap. ]

Oh, sorry, um... did you... want me to unwrap it?

It's alright, I've got it.

[ Peeling it open, she fits the burger into her hand, peering at it curiously. She's not sure what she was expecting, but it seems simple enough. Meat, bread, some vegetables and cheese.

Her eyes flickering to Danny, she takes a modest bite off of one end, chewing thoughtfully. ]

[ Danny doesn't say anything. Mostly because he's kind of holding his breath, and waiting to see how she likes it. Granted, it's a greasy fast food burger, so it's basically super unhealthy, but...

They're just so tasty. ]

... So um... good? Bad?

It's...very salty. And oily. And there's...what is that sauce?

[ She gives the burger a conflicted look, brow furrowing.

Then?

She takes another bite. For science, at this point. She's got to figure out whether or not she likes this. ]
