[ The first thing that could be seen was a shot of the medbay ceiling, followed immediately with a groggy groan. The camera unsteady, taking a few seconds to settle on the man's face... before showing Reinhardt, out of his armor, looking every bit like he just got up from a long sleep. ]

Augh... I feel like I slept the sleep of the dead...

[ Bad choice of words there, but he sure isn't awake enough to notice. One hand coming up to rub the sleep from his eyes, as he continued. ]

Friends, tell me... [ His hand came down from his face, looking more than a little concerned. ] Was anyone hurt? Are the veterans safe?

[ He chuckles at that. ]

Good then. [ He sighs in relief. ] Glad to know I did not break my arm for nothing.

[ Reinhardt has priorities. ]

[ A beat. ]

[ Yeah, that earns a more earnest laugh. ]

No, but it's been a while since I've been able to make a pilsner run. I can either bring you good coffee or okay beer: your choice.

[ He thinks about this for a second. Like, gives it some actual good thought. ]

... I'll take tar over piss.

[True to his word, it's not long before he's in medbay with a thermos and two mugs. Good coffee is good coffee and well worth being shared.]

As in you were here one moment, gone the next, and came back now. We assumed the Time Trapper sent you home.

[ All evidence to the contrary, Reinhardt wasn't feeling too hot right now. He was awake, sure, but his entire body was sore, and it wanted nothing more than to lie back down. He already felt like he'd been sleeping forever though, and wanted to be out and about, moving around.

The best he could manage though, was to sit up. Trying to relax, and not think about how he felt like his body had been put through a grinder. ]

Ah... it is good to see you, my friend...

[ He sounds... tired. Out of energy. He's not even looking up, once again rubbing his eyes. ]

Do me a favor, if you could. Remind me to not charge out a window next time.

[ There's a moment of silence, the old man looking like he was trying very hard to process the information. Then, after a few seconds... ]

[ ... he laughed. Uproariously. ]

It takes more than that to take me out of the game, I suppose!

It's been a while.

[He'd kept an eye on the conversation while he was getting coffee, and it looked like Barry had already broken the news. Saves Wash an explanation, at least. He pours a mug of coffee and offers it to Reinhardt before taking a seat and pouring one for himself.]

You kind of saved all of our lives with that maneuver, so no promises.
