[Pidge is taken aback by the abruptness of his absence. She felt left holding the bag. Phone. Communicator. Whatever. Just sort of awkwardly waiting for him to come back.

But it is enough time for her to put some things together: He clearly takes Easter very seriously and he was incredibly fast. If he's not the Easter Bunny, he's clearly the most qualified candidate for the position.

And of course there is the whole issue of alternate universes, the existence of which has already been blown wide open by the Legion. It still strikes her as silly beyond all reason, but it's not impossible that he comes from a world where holiday figures do exist as a matter of course. Being Australian is kind of a curve ball, but-

And then he comes back on, in the kitchen holding a preposterously beautiful egg, decorated like a galaxy and covered in vines. There was no way he could have gotten to the kitchen and made that in the time it took between calls, so either the kitchen just happened to have an egg made that perfectly and the frosting in the exact color of her armor and they let him have it...or...

He is who he says he is.

And after all that, Pidge just laughs. Not a mocking or skeptical laugh, but a delighted carefree one. She doesn't exactly look like a kid again, because she always was, but it's been a long time since she could just laugh without the weight of the galaxy on her back.

She regains her composure enough to speak.]

OK, OK, I think the evidence is stacking against me. I guess the Easter Bunny isn't the worst thing to be proven wrong about, huh?

...For the record, though? I like doing math homework.
