[Video] [Backdated to before plots]

[Video feed flips on with the observation deck serving as a backdrop to a man in black. Black cowl, covering the head and upper face, all the way down the neck and across the shoulders. All that shows is the man's lower face as some sort of lens even covers his eyes.]

[Though the cowl is a little odd in that there are definitely 'ears' on the top of the head. Though lower than some who knew him in his own world might have seen before. Then again, Batman did like changing up his costumes from time to time.]

[He's frowning, but it seems more a thoughtful frown than one with any actual emotion behind it.]

I have to admit, this isn't where I expected to be when I started my patrol.

Anybody want to give me the rundown of this place? The one that's not sanitized for newcomers.

I'm not discounting the fact that there are very definitely more Jokers, but having fought the guy, I think he'd probably shoot himself before instead of consenting to being a double act. Can't imagine him wanting to be second banana to anybody.

[Those lenses make it really easy to give a blank look to America. Even if Dick is blinking behind them and quirking an eyebrow a little.]

That's about the size of it. If you join, you get to fight to save reality. If not, you get to be Citizen Batman.

For the most part, that's what we're here to stop. But aside from that, we're also part of the Legion while we're here.

At the moment, we're fighting his heralds. They've shown up in different ways, but they're almost always people gifted with powers. We have a few ways to stop them, and even find more information on how to stop Chronoblivion. But at the moment, there's... not much to work with, outside of just being aware of the threat and being ready to stop it.

[He mulls that over for a few moments, but...well, what's the use of lying or dragging it out?]

[ Joey turns his feed on, but spends another ten seconds staring at the screen while he mentally ticks off the things that back up what he already knew in his gut.

Then, he sits back and smiles widely as he signs. ]

I mean he's literally here on Legion World. He's been locked in a cell since he attacked Cargg as one of Chronoblivion's Heralds. Freelancer, Justin Time, and I kind of outsmarted him and trapped him in a fridge.

[Really, he had sort of figured that that was about the long and the short of it, but it's always good to have it confirmed.]

Is the "gifted with powers" bit more across the board than just the Heralds?

[Though, dear Lord, the idea of the Joker with powers is a frightening thought.]

I've seen Dreamer walk into a doorframe, a wall, and Umbra because she was thinking about the future and not actually where she was in the present.

I saw Umbra smile at one of Dave's jokes.
