A lot of things in your world are somewhat... smaller and tamer, it seems. Citizens are stupid, bored, and desperate for anything to fill their time with. They have a capacity to be good, but it's so much easier for them to turn on one another instead.

Soon, a good pusher has an entire army of young men and women who are jumping to rob, cheat, or assault other citizens in order to afford the next part of the story.

Comic book distributors are leeches on society.
