Granted, Jack isn't entirely sure what kind of reaction he expected, though there is a part of him that hopes it's anger. Anger is what he deserves, after all, and no one here has really been able to give him that. Of course they're glad he's alive, and they're quick to chastise him for the disappearing act, but forgiveness comes so easily to his people it shouldn't be a surprise.
