Hey guys, girls, and anybody who may not identify as either. We've had a rough few days. Which is understating things by a lot, but I really don't want to get into an itemized list of how bad it's been.

So, I'm tossing up an introduction and meeting log so we have a way to get our minds off of it for a little while, and so we can get to know each other better. I know Grif usually handles this sort of thing, but it's been a while since he did, and it seemed like a good idea.

For anyone who hasn't done this before, just toss in your name, codename powers, a couple things you want us to know about you, and anything else you wanna talk about.

I'm Barry Allen, the Flash, and I have superspeed. I'm also a CSI, and I really like pepperoni, olive, and jalapeño pizza.

This is a free for all mingle post! Barry will reply to everyone who responds, but if you want to have a character jump into a conversation with anybody you are absolutely welcome and, in fact, encouraged. Feel free to have characters ignore the point, talk about other things, etc etc. Threads are assumed to be public unless you mark them otherwise. This is set after No Insanity Clause and Silent Horizon.))

Still working on that. Apparently it's something about messing around with tech, which I did already, but without having to know the ins and outs of it. Cheating at hacking, which I can get behind.

Do you get the "how do I make this thing happen?" information dumped in your head, or do you just get to shooooop -- make it happen?

I got plenty of info-dump, still getting used to the feel of it. It's like a gun, yeah? You know the basics, but each one's unique. You gotta get their quirks down, figure out the handling. Don't wanna rush it and miss out on all you can learn about it.

I've never actually held a gun before in my life, so I'll have to take your word on that. But that sounds really interesting. Maybe eventually you'll be able to just...take things apart and reassemble the pieces to make something completely different.

Funny. We've got all that too. As far as I go, I'm pretty damn impressive.

[He pauses, going for deliberate drama.]

Unless you mean what am I if not human. Then the answer is still the same, but it's also turian.

I don't know dude, the mandibles kind of ruin it. They have mandibles too, right?

[ Grif holds up a hand near to the side of his face and mimes one. ]

Anyway, as long as you're not looking to blow up the Earth or whatever, we're cool. Aliens back home had that problem a lot.

I guess you don't have humans in your universe? Because I think we'd force it on everyone eventually if we did exist.

Nah, we got plenty of humans. Stuck to the turian meals and supplies when I served with them, but I can't really walk down to a turian shop here.
