Hey guys, girls, and anybody who may not identify as either. We've had a rough few days. Which is understating things by a lot, but I really don't want to get into an itemized list of how bad it's been.

So, I'm tossing up an introduction and meeting log so we have a way to get our minds off of it for a little while, and so we can get to know each other better. I know Grif usually handles this sort of thing, but it's been a while since he did, and it seemed like a good idea.

For anyone who hasn't done this before, just toss in your name, codename powers, a couple things you want us to know about you, and anything else you wanna talk about.

I'm Barry Allen, the Flash, and I have superspeed. I'm also a CSI, and I really like pepperoni, olive, and jalapeño pizza.

Barry will reply to everyone who responds, but if you want to have a character jump into a conversation with anybody you are absolutely welcome and, in fact, encouraged. Tadashi Hamada. Sunfire. Fire generation and, still mostly theoretically, control. I was a robotics engineering student back home, and I have a serious hot wing craving right now.

So how is the "control" thing working for you lately? Breakthroughs?

Last mission, I helped disarm one of the Smylex bombs by burning the gas as it came out of the nozzle. I mean, sure, the stream was about as big around as Master Chief's forearm, but I didn't blow up the bomb and therefore spread the gas everywhere, so I'm calling it progress!

[ Grif snorts. ]

Master Chief's forearms? Is that a new unit of measure around here?

I don't know, but I feel like people here are more likely to have considered the circumference of Master Chief's forearm than say, my thigh.

...Yeah, okay, that's a good point.

[ Master Chief is just ridiculous. ]

Congratulations on your not-blowing-everything-up.

[ He kind of is. Tadashi's thigh probably is about as big around as Master Chief's forearm. ]

Thanks! I'm pretty pleased with myself. Fingers crossed I don't backslide.

Any interesting projects you were working on?

Nope. Everything I did was terribly boring and I definitely can't talk about any of it for more than an hour without repeating myself.

[He grins.]

My thesis project was a healthcare companion robot named Baymax. He's going to help a lot of people. [The smile goes a little wry and he glances away.] Of course, when I first started saying that, I didn't know my little brother was going to teach him karate and convince all my friends to become super heroes.

Cisco and Caitlin would be all over that. The healthcare robot bit, anyways. Although Cisco would probably encourage your brother's insistence on turning it into a battlebot too.

He's not a battlebot. My brother has just managed to convince him that flight and rocket fits make him a better healthcare companion. He's still a giant marshmallow underneath the red and purple carbon fiber armor.

It probably would, y'know. If you don't mind him working in emergency rescue, anyways. Flight gets him to emergency situations quickly, his rocket fists can clear heavy debris, and the carbon fiber armor would protect him from being harmed by anything that might fall on him.

The rocket fists apparently saved my brother's life, so I can't really fault him for it. It just wasn't what I originally planned when I designed him; otherwise I would have given him skin made of something sturdier than vinyl.

Onigiri. With tuna, or chicken.

[ She hadn't known the name of that food, when she'd been living in Japan, but when she'd asked Oracle about them recently, Oracle had found out what they were called, and a place that made them. ]

That's what I miss.

We were more of a sandwich family, but my school had some pretty good onigiri.

You're a new arrival, right? I'm pretty sure I'd remember seeing you around.
