I have to say, all the many downsides aside? This is pretty cool. We're basically in the Star Trek future. With aliens!  I mean, I've met an alien before, in a different universe, but she did look fairly human. Aside from the whole faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to fly thing she had.

Anyways, hi. [He gives a little wave.] My name's Barry Allen, and I'm the Flash.  Not this universe's version of the Flash, though. I'm from a different one entirely. It's similar, but they showed me a couple pictures of the one from this reality and he wore a lot more spandex than I'm entirely comfortable with.

Getting off of that, it's nice to meet you guys, and I look forward to working with all of you.

I try not to think about time travel any harder than I have to. Saves a lot of headaches.

Anyway - Hal Jordan, and if you're not familiar with Green Lanterns, I'm guessing that means you don't know me yet. Or won't at all. Or...whatever.

As someone who has time traveled a lot, that's probably for the best.

And yeah, anything involving alien life isn't really a thing in yet, if it ever will be. Supergirl's the only one I know, and she's not from my universe.

How does someone end up getting picked for an interstellar police force anyways?

In general: we're picked for strength of will and the ability to overcome great fear.

In specific: a glowing green ring buzzed me and dragged me over to a dying alien who asked me to take up his position. But I hear not everybody's initiation is quite that dramatic.

Were you a cop before all that happened, or something else?

Air Force, then a private test pilot after I was discharged.

Was it for Ferris Air? Because I think you might actually exist in my universe. They used to have a testing facility in Central City but it got shut down after one of their pilots vanished.

Yeah, it was Ferris. Maybe you will end up meeting me sooner or later.
