305.01 - Groups of People Brought Together For A Common Goal

[As the weight of the situation that had been explained to her sank in, Mary's mind became flooded with questions about both this world and the myriad worlds that these other people supposedly came from. So many of them seemed like they came from places that she'd only read about, and to be honest, it's pretty intimidating! Heroes of all kinds, so many non-humans, and so many people who just seemed entirely too interesting to really register as real. It was honestly incredibly overwhelming to think about too much - and there were a million things she wanted to ask - and if she understood the way the omnicomm worked correctly, she could ask everyone something at once and get answers. Given the likely delay of them, that seemed ideal - more time to pore over responding to initial answers before moving to the next ones. So, she began to type...]

Hello, everyone. This is quite a turn of events from my normal life - while I'd certainly dreamed of a bit more excitement more than once, this is a bit more than I had in mind! I'm eager to get to know the lot of you, as it seems we'll all be working together, so for starters, I have a question. I liked Mr. Bell's Fix-It Shop when I was a kid. I had a lot of books when I was little, but it's the only one I remember anyone taking the time to read to me. It was about a girl's broken doll. I renege I just really liked the ending.

Oh, right. Mr. Bell changed the sign in his window to say "I fix everything, even broken hearts."

Remember when you thought it was that easy?

I didn't have a childhood. [It might sound like he's messing around, because who opens up like that?? But it's true.] I've never actually read any stories, either, so I can't answer that.

[But he's bored, so he'll ask a question of his own instead.]

What kind of stories do you want to write?
