This is a nice setup. I mean, given the whole highly-respected superhero team in the far-flung future bit, it'd have to be, but it's still worth noting.

Name's Ray Stantz, I'm going by Ghostbuster while I'm here, and my power is tactile intangibility. Basically that means I can turn myself and anything I'm touching intangible. It's actually really neat.

I'm a paranormal investigation and containment specialist back home. This isn't my first time fighting an extradimensional entity, so I'm hoping I can help.

Not really. I know some of it may sound unbelieveable, but everything I've said so far is true.

Now you have me curious to see if my ability works on someone who's intangible. It's somewhat intangibility based in and of itself.

I'm not sure. It definitely sounds like it's worth a test, depending on what your power is.

I guess you could say I possess people. It's a little invasive, so I understand if you're not interested in experimenting.

I'm not sure if it would say much abput either of our powers, though. I'm not a fan of admitting it, but I'm slightly more susceptible to possesion than most people.

I don't know if it will put you at ease, but I'm not in the habit of taking control of someone without dire circumstances or express permission. It would say more if it didn't work.

True. I might even be able to find a way to defend myself against another intrusion. Having two ancient Sumerian deities duke it out in my mindscape isn't an experience I want to repeat any time soon.

It would be great if you did! That's a lucky skill to have, when you're someone like us.

It's kind of cool how much they like us here. I mean, the fandom stuff is kind of creepy, but I'm pretty sure that happens back home anyway.

Well, the having fans thing isn't new for me, really. The Ghostbusters have a fairly solid following back home.

I haven't come across any too creepy fans yet though. Then again, I hunt ghosts and hang around a guy who collects spores, mold, and fungus, so what I think is creepy and what other people think is creepy can slightly differ.

Ghosts and mold, whatever, I'm talking about like. "Writes erotic stories about you and your buddies" kind of creepy.

You know, creepy.

Yeah...definitely haven't run into that yet.

Or maybe a different variant altogether? We theorized there might even more Ghostbusters out there in the multiverse, but we haven't had time to check.

What's a pair of normal investigation? I think containment's storing stuff, but I'm not sure of that one either. [He knows that you store food in containers, at least.]

Paranormal, not pair of normal. It basically means I study things like ghosts, or psychics. And you'd be right about containment. I capture ghosts for a living.

Why do you do that? Ghosts seem pretty harmless. [Then again, his familiarity with ghosts mostly consists of this guy.]

They're not, trust me. Some are, of course. Actually, the majority are generally peaceful. But then there's the ones that cause property damage, go out of their way to terrorize the living, or worse. I've seen more than my fair share try to kill people.

Really? So how do you catch 'em? [You can't just punch a ghost - he's probably tried that at some point.]

Technology, mostly. My friend Egon and I co-developed devices that can be used to wrangle, trap, and store ghosts.

What do you do when you've caught 'em? You probably couldn't let 'em go somewhere else; they'd just come back.
